Must Watch: Huey Lewis Spoofs ‘American Psycho’ With Weird Al Yankovic

Huey Lewis American Psycho Spoof

Arguably the most memorable scene in the psychological thriller American Psycho was when star Christian Bale’s Patrick Bateman character gives a co-worker (played by Jared Leto) a little lesson on the band Huey Lewis and the News…right before butchering him with an axe (maybe, we think). Gruesome I know.

Now, thanks to Funny or Die, a video has come along to blow minds. Layers of parody dancing gleefully together around a slice of paradoxical cinema. Does that make sense? Don’t worry, it doesn’t have to. Because it sounds awesome.

Be sure to check it out below.

Huey Lewis and The News

As part of Amazon’s monthly $5 MP3 album deal for March 2012, Huey Lewis and The News: Greatest Hits is on sale for only $5.

If you’d like a physical copy of the Huey Lewis and The News: Greatest Hits, the CD version is available for only $8.84.

Throughout the 80s and early 90s, Huey Lewis and The News had a whopping 19 Top 10 hits across the Billboard Hot 100, Adult Contemporary and Mainstream Rock charts. You couldn’t go anywhere without hearing songs like “It’s Hip to be Square” or “Working for a Living”. Many of my Geek brethren may recall that “Power of Love” and “Back In Time” were also featured in the Back to the Future movie soundtrack. And, of course, who could possibly forget “The Heart of Rock & Roll”?

Browse the main sale page to see the other 99 albums on sale for only $5 each in MP3 format through the end of March 2012.

You Nostalgia You LoseI have no idea how these folks managed to do this, but the people behind Norwegian television show Gylne Tider somehow gathered a whole group of celebrity icons from the Seventies through the Eighties and into the Nineties to sing/lip dub Let It Be by The Beatles. Essentially, this video below is a whole bunch of WTF mixed with a session of “Where Are They Now?” — or more accurately, a video version of the 4chan game “You Nostalgia, You Lose”.

Featured in the video are a few of our geek icons, such as Dee Snider from Twisted Sister, Lou Ferrigno (The Incredible Hulk), Roger Moore (James Bond), Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger from A Nightmare on Elm Street), Mickey Rourke (Whiplash from Iron Man 2), and Dolph Lundgren (The Punisher, Masters of the Universe, Rocky IV, The Expendables).

Not only that, but the video also features people, like Alfonso Ribeiro from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, who have been subjects of numerous internet memes over the years. This could also be the last official media appearance of the brilliant Leslie Nielsen who sadly passed away recently.
