Both Amy Poehler and Mindy Kaling voice emotions in Disney-Pixar’s Inside Out that cultivate personality islands in the mind of Riley, the young girl whose brain the film takes place in. During the L.A. press junket, the two actresses/writers/producers talked about how they nurture their personality islands through collaboration, important core memories, and resonating with young girls, who are inspired by their success as women in entertainment.

This week, Disney”¢Pixar’s Inside Out hits theaters, and the cast sat down to talk about how they became a part of one of Pixar’s most out of the box concepts for an animated feature. Amy Poehler, Bill Hader, Mindy Kaling, Phyllis Smith, and Lewis Black, play the emotions inside the head of an 11-year old girl coping with moving to a new town.

This is what the cast had to say about being approached to work on the film.

The marketing machine is still full steam ahead for Inside Out, the newest release from Pixar Animation, whose last movie was 2013’s Monsters University.

Another new clip from the movie has been released online, simply titled “Pizza.” In it the young girl whose brain the movie is mainly set in, Riley, distracts herself from a bit of sadness with something most of us have distracted ourselves from a bit of sadness with, as you probably already guessed, pizza.

DisneyӢPixar has released a pair of new clips from their upcoming human emotion movie Inside Out. You can see previous trailers, clips, and news for the movie you might have missed right here.

The first clip sees emotions Joy and Sadness about to embark on a journey into the labyrinth that is a person’s long term memory. The second clip sees emotions Disgust and Anger dealing with a broccoli situation between young Riley and her father.

Last night, Geeks Of Doom was given the opportunity to see a very early look at Pixar’s Inside Out, at the YouTube Space in Los Angeles, CA. Director Pete Docter and producer Jonas Rivera reunite after having worked together on the Oscar-winning film Up for what is being described as a “major emotion picture.” What makes Pixar’s latest film so special is that it takes place within the mind of Riley, an 11-year-old girl, with her emotions starring as the main characters, and providing a point of view for the audience. It gives us an inside look inside the mind of a person.

We learned a few things from the event, like the character of Riley is actually based off Docter’s daughter; the research process of finding the right emotions to represent the human characters; the casting process, and a lot more. Check out what we learned from the event here below.
