Release dates for the home video released of Toy Story 4 have been announced by Disney. The latest entry in the long-running animated franchise makes its way to digital, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD this fall. | ‘Inside Out’: Pete Docter and Jonas Rivera Talk Pixar’s Emotional Movie Event
Last night, Geeks Of Doom was given the opportunity to see a very early look at Pixar’s Inside Out, at the YouTube Space in Los Angeles, CA. Director Pete Docter and producer Jonas Rivera reunite after having worked together on the Oscar-winning film Up for what is being described as a “major emotion picture.” What makes Pixar’s latest film so special is that it takes place within the mind of Riley, an 11-year-old girl, with her emotions starring as the main characters, and providing a point of view for the audience. It gives us an inside look inside the mind of a person. We learned a few things from the event, like the character of Riley is actually based off Docter’s daughter; the research process of finding the right emotions to represent the human characters; the casting process, and a lot more. The Summer 2015 Pixar feature Inside Out was investigated in great depth at today’s Animation panel at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, CA, with the voice cast announced for the Disney/Pixar animated film and wow does this look like a winner. Inside Out follows 11-year-old named Riley, who moves to the unfamiliar San Francisco. What awaits her there? We’re sure to find out, but what is certain is we will discover what’s inside her mind, which are represented here as five main characters that drive Riley’s personality and actions, known as the Five Emotions. Director Pete Docter and producer Jonas Rivera talked about the Five Emotions and announced which actors will voice them. Lewis Black voices red guy Anger, dressed in a business suit; Mindy Kaling voices careful and straightforward Disgust; Bill Hader returns to Pixar again as the voice of Fear, a nerdy guy; Amy Poehler voices Joy, who glows and possesses blue hair; and Phyllis Smith voices Sadness, adorned in a blue sweater. All five play into how Riley behaves.
