| Official Trailer For ‘Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark’ Movie Released
Back in March we saw a teaser trailer for Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, an adaptation of the classic horror stories of the same name by writer Alvin Schwartz and artist Stephen Gammell. Now CBS Films has released an official trailer for the movie, which you can find below along with a synopsis. The movie is directed by André Øvredal (Trollhunter, The Autopsy of Jane Doe) and produced by Guillermo del Toro, who’s best known for directing recent Academy Award winner The Shape of Water as well as Pan’s Labyrinth, The Devil’s Backbone, Pacific Rim, Crimson Peak, Blade II, and the first two Hellboy movies.

| Leonardo DiCaprio In Talks To Star In ‘Nightmare Alley’ Directed By Guillermo del Toro
After winning Best Picture and Best Director Oscars for The Shape of Water a little over a year ago, Guillermo del Toro has now chosen his next directorial project. The movie is titled Nightmare Alley, based on the 1946 novel of the same name written by William Lindsay Gresham. And now it looks like the film may have some serious star power. It’s being reported that fellow Academy Award winner Leonardo DiCaprio is in talks for the lead role in del Toro’s latest.

| ‘Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark’ Super Bowl Spot: Terrifying Kids Stories You Want To Experience With The Lights On
Alvin Schwartz‘s Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark may have been presented as a collection of children’s horror stories that is rooted in folklore and urban legend, but it is the basis of why those same kids who read all three volumes are fans of the horror genre now. I remember reading at least one book when I was a kid, but I’d never thought they would be able to turn all of that into a film. Now, CBS Films will be releasing an adaptation of the same name. In it, a group of young people attempt to solve a mystery that involves a series of spectacularly horrific deaths in their small hometown. | Guillermo del Toro and Fox Searchlight Announce New Multi-Film Deal
After giving Fox Searchlight Pictures an Academy Award for Best Picture for The Shape of Water, the studio is extending their working relationship with Guillermo del Toro by signing him to a brand new deal. Del Toro will now oversee a yet-to-be-named label that sees him writing, producing, and directing horror films in the sci-fi and fantasy genres. Said films will be financed, marketed, and distributed by Fox Searchlight Pictures. More on the story below.
