Air Date: Sunday, July 16th, 2017, 10pm Warning! Spoilers below for the 4th season premiere of The Strain! At the end of last season on The Strain, the humans lost the war against the strigoi. They did fight valiantly though. Quinlan (Rupert Penry-Jones) fought his father, The Master, in a breathless confrontation. Even Palmer (Jonathan Hyde) fought on the rebels’ side until The Master “gifted” him with his presence, to Eichorst’s (Richard Sammel) dismay. Eph (Corey Stoll) finally found Zach (Max Charles) with Kelly (Natalie Brown), and killed her, causing Zach to set off the bomb that decimated the city, both with the weapon and by causing nuclear winter, allowing the strigoi to walk in daylight. Air Date: Sunday August 28th, 2016, 10pm Spoilers if you are not all caught up… At the end of season 2 of The Strain, our gang had split in various heartbreaking ways. Setrakian (David Bradley) had succeeded in obtaining the Lumen from Eichorst (Richard Sammel), after Palmer (Jonathan Hyde) pulled the funding. As punishment, The Master (Jack Kesy) took Coco’s (Lizzie Brocheré) eternal life, destroying Palmer. Quinlan, Gus, Setrakian, and Fet (Rupert Penry-Jones, Miguel Gomez, Bradley, and Kevin Durand) joined forces. Nora (Mia Maestro) got infected by Kelly (Natalie Brown) while defending Zach, who ended up leaving with his mom. Eph (Corey Stoll) showed up heartbroken, and Nora decided to end it instead of letting the Master use her. More spoilers ahead for episode 3.1 “New York Strong.”

We all know that The Strain could not be as freaky as it is, without the Creature FX team, that design the creepy little blind “feelers,” the humans transforming to strigoi, and of course, the various incarnations of the king of the vamps – The Master. Air Date: Sunday August 9th, 2015, 10pm Last week on The Strain, a new character, well two new characters were introduced via an old black and white luchador movie, where Angel (aka Felix – JoaquÃn Cosio) fought vampires. Then we cut to sullen old Felix working in a restaurant, suspicious of Gus (Miguel Gomez). AND… there’s a girl. Eph (Corey Stoll) and Nora (Mia Maestro) unleashed the vampire plague on the vampire plague, and Eph was gleeful, as it’s working. The infected vamps were committing forced suicide by the Master. Vasiliy Fet (Kevin Durand) gets arrested after he blows up the subway tunnels. Dutch (Ruta Gedmintas) and Setrakian (David Bradley) go to Staten Island to get Eldritch Palmer (Jonathan Hyde) intel from Fitzwilliam (Roger R. Cross).

Air Date: Sunday August 2nd, 2015, 10pm Last week on The Strain, Gus (Miguel Gomez) and the rebel vamps make a move on Palmer (Jonathan Hyde), but it does not turn out so well for them. Palmer manages to shock and impress Coco (Lizzie Brocheré) at the same time. Bodyguard Bolivar (Jack Kesy) certainly didn’t help. Silly girl, still believes he is good. We find out that Setrakian (David Bradley) makes a worm potion that does not turn him into a vamp, but keeps him alive and strong. Nora (Mia Maestro) manages to get that out of him, but promises not to tell. Eph (Corey Stoll) has his hands full with bratty Zach, who really wants his mommy. Don’t worry Zach, Mommy’ll find you. Eph tries yelling and scaring him, which never works. One win – they manage to infect their male human guinea pig vamp, and plan to set him free to infect more vamps. Staten Island is vampire free.
