New Trailer For ‘Vox Lux’ Starring Natalie Portman Released

Neon has released a new trailer for Vox Lux starring Natalie Portman as a pop star whose career took off after a tragedy, and who is now attempting a comeback after a scandal almost ruined her.
The movie is directed by Brady Corbet, an actor who has starred in 24, Funny Games, Martha Marcy May Marlene, Melancholia, and Force Majeure, and who made his directorial debut with 2015’s The Childhood of a Leader. It also stars Raffey Cassidy (Tomorrowland, The Killing of a Sacred Deer), Jude Law (Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, The Grand Budapest Hotel), Stacy Martin (Nymphomaniac, All the Money in the World), and Jennifer Ehle (The King’s Speech, Zero Dark Thirty). Sia wrote original songs for the film.

Movie Review: Fifty Shades Freed

Fifty Shades Freed
Director: James Foley
Screenwriter: Niall Leonard

Distributor: Universal Studios
Rated PG-13 | 134 Minutes
Release Date: February 9, 2018
So it is all over — the Fifty Shades trilogy that tried to be more than just kinky unspoken sex and about two seemingly wildly incompatible characters getting together and sustaining a relationship. But the surprising thing about it is that despite how terrible the first feature, Fifty Shades Of Grey, was, the following installments were actually pretty tolerable to the point of enjoyment. Yes, the entire trilogy as a whole is pretty bad, and the lack of chemistry between leads Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan is clear, but by the time we get from Fifty Shades Darker to Fifty Shades Freed, we see that the franchise has embraced its absurdity.
The result is that we can enjoy the film for what it is. Regardless of how one may feel about the trilogy, Fifty Shades Freed is just one of those films that is so bad it’s actually pretty good. And owning up to the fact that it can be mildly enjoyable is hard to admit. My full review below.

‘Fifty Shades Freed’ Trailer: Car Chases, Bondage, and Happy Endings, Oh My!

I’m not entirely sure if the Fifty Shades franchise still has that tight grip it once had when it was at its pop culture peak, but at least its film franchise intends to see the trilogy all the way to the end. Despite being knocked for its poor writing and lack of chemistry between the two leads, the series’ success – if you can call it that – has led up to the final installment of the trilogy, Fifty Shades Freed.
And now with just a couple of months left until the film’s traditional Valentine’s Day release, Universal is releasing yet another trailer to remind you that this sex-filled soap opera drama is coming. Check out the latest trailer below.

‘Fifty Shades Darker’ Trailer: Are You Hungry For Some Provocative Public Displays Of Affection

Universal Pictures has released the second official trailer to Fifty Shades Darker starring Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, who return as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. The film is a sequel to Fifty Shades of Grey, which ended awkwardly, I might add. However, devoted fans knew that the story wasn’t over, with this being a trilogy.
In the new trailer for the sequel, we see the two rekindle that relationship that involves kinky PDA, ghosts from Christian’s past, and other people who will complicate their relationship. Because what’s a good soapy drama without that. Check out the full trailer below.

‘Fifty Shades Darker’ Trailer: Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele Are Still “Crazy In Love”

Yesterday, Universal released a 20 second teaser for Fifty Shades Darker. As far as teasers for trailers go, it didn’t offer much insight as to what will be happening to Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) and Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) in the second installment of the Fifty Shades of Grey sequel.
Now the studio has released the full trailer that gives a more dark details on how these two conflicted lovebirds will handle the new drama that includes former lovers who are determined to see their love shattered. Check out the full trailer below.

‘Fifty Shades Darker’ Teaser: “Intrigued” By 20 Seconds Of Being A Tease

Say what you will about Fifty Shades Of Grey, but if the film can gross a worldwide total of $571 million against a budget of $40 million and be nominated for one Academy Award, all the while being critically panned, well it must be doing something right. Granted, I wasn’t a huge fan of the film as a whole, but there were some interesting shots and lighting selections that caught my eye, and no, none of those involved the more “intimate” scenes.
So with its box office success and huge fanbase, there are many who are interested in seeing what could happen in its sequel, Fifty Shades Darker. And now Universal is giving you a sneak peek at what to expect from it. Check it out the teaser to the trailer here below.

‘RoboCop’ Trailer: Let’s Play Bad Cop/RoboCop

This isn’t the RoboCop you remember. Paul Verhoeven’s film was a mix of over-the-top violence and a satire of the American culture, and while some may be hesitant about José Padilha‘s vision of the film, a new trailer for the remake could change your mind.
The new trailer for the film has premiered online, and it looks to smooth over some of the lingering rough edges that were left behind by the first trailer, which was more concerned about the violence than paying homage to the original.
Watch the new trailer here below.

Movie Review: Contagion

Contagion
Directed by Steven Soderbergh
Starring: Matt Damon, Laurence Fishburne, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Winslet, Elliott Gould, Jennifer Ehle, Jude Law, Marion Cotillard, Chin Han, Griffin Kane, Sanjay Gupta
Release Date: September 9, 2011
Contagion is a movie that showed much promise with its previews and its advertised premise, but in reality it turns into 100 minutes of wasted production opportunities used instead to push stereotypical propaganda at the viewer. With its notable ensemble cast, and a plot device that is not new but has been proven to be popular over the years, the Steven Soderbergh film had huge potential that will do nothing but disappoint the thriller/horror fans expecting an epidemic epic.
I have been quite a big fan of medical thrillers over the years, particularly those that focus on diseases and outbreaks. From stories of crazy Ebola-like viruses to weaponized disease, I’ve been fascinated with the concept both in its reality, and in its use as a plot device in thrillers. I have no rationalization for this attraction: perhaps it was the wonderful conclusion H.G. Wells brought us to in War of the Worlds, or perhaps it is the disease-based plot devices of some of my favorite zombie flicks. Either way, when word came out Soderbergh was taking up the subject; I was thrilled at the prospect.
