New Showrunner Hired For ‘Y: The Last Man’ TV Series

Back in April we found out that the latest attempt to adapt Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra‘s comic book classic Y: The Last Man, a TV series set up at FX going simply by the title Y, had lost showrunners Michael Green (American Gods, Logan) and Aïda Mashaka Croal (Luke Cage, Jessica Jones) after years of developing the series, putting together a cast, and even filming a pilot episode.
But while FX had made the decision to not move forward with Green and Croal’s take on the story “in its current form,” it was made clear that they would be searching for a replacement and the show would go on. After years of working on the show, which FX ordered to series back in February, showrunners Michael Green (American Gods, Logan) and Aïda Mashaka Croal (Luke Cage, Jessica Jones) have announced that they are departing the project.
