D23 Expo 2019: ‘The Eternals’ Adds Kit Harington, Barry Keoghan, and Gemma Chan

Marvel Studios’ The Eternals promises to be a cosmic comic book movie of epic proportions. Of course, with a film that touts a cast of Angelina Jolie, Kumail Nanjiani, Richard Madden, Ma Dong-seok (aka Don Lee), Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, Salma Hayek, and Lia McHugh.
While at the D23 Expo today, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige announced a few more surprising additions to the cast. Joining the aforementioned cast will be Barry Keoghan as Druig and Gemma Chan as Sersi. But the biggest surprise of them all is Kit Harington joining the cast as a non-Eternal Dane Whitman. Cast members also appear at the panel in front of concept art of them in their costumes, which you can see here below.

New Showrunner Hired For ‘Y: The Last Man’ TV Series

Back in April we found out that the latest attempt to adapt Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra‘s comic book classic Y: The Last Man, a TV series set up at FX going simply by the title Y, had lost showrunners Michael Green (American Gods, Logan) and Aïda Mashaka Croal (Luke Cage, Jessica Jones) after years of developing the series, putting together a cast, and even filming a pilot episode.
But while FX had made the decision to not move forward with Green and Croal’s take on the story “in its current form,” it was made clear that they would be searching for a replacement and the show would go on. Now that replacement has been found, as Eliza Clark has been hired to take over showrunner duties.

‘Y: The Last Man’ TV Series Loses Its Showrunners

It looked like the latest in a long line of attempts to adapt Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra‘s classic comic Y: The Last Man, a TV series set up at FX which is going by the title Y, was going to be the one to finally break free and become a reality. And it still might, when all is said and done. But another speedbump has been hit, and it’s a fairly significant one.
After years of working on the show, which FX ordered to series back in February, showrunners Michael Green (American Gods, Logan) and Aïda Mashaka Croal (Luke Cage, Jessica Jones) have announced that they are departing the project.

Christopher Nolan’s ‘Dunkirk’ Trailer: Battle Of Dunkirk Comes To Life On IMAX

While Christopher Nolan has stepped away from the superhero genre for quite some time, he’s still in the business of large-scale epic films. The Interstellar director will be taking audiences to the past by revisiting one of the most critical events in World War II. Dunkirk is based on the real-life aftermath of the Battle of Dunkirk, which saw the Allied Forces (Britain, Belgium, Canada, and France) suffering a major blow to their military force and then stranded on the French coast. With the German army surrounding them, the Allied Forces execute Operation Dynamo, which helped evacuate the stranded soldiers in what is considered one of the most successful rescue missions of the war.
Check out the newest trailer for the film here below.
