Supernatural
Season 10 Episode 16: “Paint It Black”
Created by Eric Kripke
Directed by John F. Showalter
Starring Jensen Ackles, Jared Padelecki, Misha Collins, and Mark Sheppard
The CW
Air Date: Wednesday, March 25th, 2015, 9:00pm Last week on Supernatural 10.15 “The Things They Carried”, Sam and Dean (Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles) investigated a parasite that caused its victim to be so thirsty, gallons and gallons of water weren’t enough, so it had to resort to blood. Cole (I-made-it-my-life’s-mission-to-kill-Dean-Winchester) returned to help the boys since the infected was a pal. The brothers are just trying to think job to job…well Dean is anyway. He’s trying to find a way to live with the Mark of Cain, to not think about what it means for his future. It’s Sam’s turn to worry and research, and no matter how much Dean tells him to forget about it, Sam can’t stop. He never could. If it was Sam with the mark, Dean and all of us know, he’d be fighting the same fight.

Supernatural
Season 10 Episode 15: “The Things They Carried”

The CW
Air Date: Wednesday, March 18th, 2015, 9:00pm All my shows are back! Spoilers! Supernatural returns, last leaving us in February with Dean (Jensen Ackles) asking Sam (Jared Padelecki) to leave the Mark of Cain obsession alone. You know how these brothers are with each other. That never happens. Truthfully, Cain (Timothy Omundson) was perfectly dandy until the Winchesters showed up. I know we haven’t seen him since then, but he did kinda flip his lid without it, to his detriment. So what does that say? Maybe Sam should just try to put it from his mind. Maybe Dean would go crazy (more crazy) too if he rids himself of the mark. I always like when Supernatural uses Sam and Dean to parallel other theology/mythology, like when Dean was destined to be Michael and Sam was destined to be Lucifer. That didn’t quite go exactly as we thought it would be played. You cannot ignore the Cain/Abel parallel possibility.

The Supernatural cast addressed fan questions and discussed the upcoming season during San Diego Comic Con over the weekend. The panel consisted of the actors and writers of the upcoming seventh season discussing a wide variety of topics related to the show including a Supernatural anime. Most of the questions were fielded by the lead actors Jared Padalecki (Gilmore Girls) and Jensen Ackles (Days of Our Lives), and they addressed a wide variety of topics, heavily focusing on spoilers for the next season. A lot of the topics dealt with character returns and clues on plot points for the upcoming season. So, if spoilers aren’t your thing, then you may want to stay away from the video.
