As part of Amazon’s monthly $5 MP3 album deals for September 2013, Alice in Chains‘s live album Unplugged is on sale for only $5 in MP3 format.
The album, originally released in July 1996, was recorded live at Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Majestic Theatre as part of MTV’s popular MTV Unplugged concert series. Unplugged contained haunting acoustic versions of the band’s most popular songs, like “Down In A Hole,” “Rooster,” “No Excuses,” “Would?,” and “Got Me Wrong.” Alice In Chain’s contribution to the Unplugged series was definitely one of the best, and for me, these versions are right up there with the originals.
The album is also available for only $14.99 as a CD+DVD, which contains the live CD along with the MTV Unplugged concert DVD, and is an AutoRip, which means that with this purchase, you also get a free MP3 version.
