Coen Brothers’ ‘Hail, Caesar!’ Casts George Clooney, Josh Brolin
Josh Brolin and George Clooney have both been leading men in Joel and Ethan Coen films. Clooney starred for the Coens in Intolerable Cruelty, O Brother Where Art Thou?, and Burn After Reading, while Brolin starred for them in No Country For Old Men and True Grit.
However, the two haven’t appeared together in one of their films, until now. Hail, Caesar! is the Coen Brothers’ upcoming project, and Brolin and Clooney have been cast as the two male leads.

The 2010 adaptation of True Grit by the Coen Brothers is a masterwork of modern filmmaking that handles the original source material with reverence and justice. Accompanied by a cast that collectively puts in stellar and memorable performances, and coupled with some breathtaking camerawork, True Grit is a must-see film.
Set at some point after the American Civil War and facing the turn of the century, the movie follows protagonist Mattie Ross (Hailee Steinfield), a 14-year old girl who is both educated and steadfast beyond her years. Following an incident in which her father was murdered by a brigand named Tom Chaney (Josh Brolin), Mattie, being the most forward-thinking of the remaining family members, takes it upon herself to address her father’s final businesses including his funeral – and her quest for both retribution and justice.

Carey Mulligan Joins The Next Projects From The Coen Brothers and Spike Jonze
With her star distinctly on the rise, if it hasn’t already gone through the roof, actress Carey Mulligan has now become one of the biggest names in the acting game.
Variety is reporting that both The Coen Brothers and Spike Jonze have tapped the actress to star as the female lead in their respective next pictures. For the pair of brothers, she’ll star opposite Oscar Isaac in Inside Llewyn Davis, and opposite Joaquin Phoenix in Jonze’s next project.

You’ve Seen The Teaser, Now Watch The Full ‘True Grit’ Trailer!

A teaser trailer for the Joel Coen and Ethan Coen‘s new adaptation of the classic novel, True Grit, was released last week. It was a great teaser, showing off brilliant old west cinematography, but not too much dialogue. No time is being wasted in keeping the buzz going, and now the full trailer for the movie is online. This time around you’ll get quite a bit of dialogue, a lot of great new shots, and maybe a little Johnny Cash…if you’re good.
The movie tells the story of young Mattie Ross (Hailee Steinfeld), a girl whose father is murdered, leading her on a mission to find the man who killed him, Tom Chaney (Josh Brolin), and get her revenge. She sets off to find the perfect man to help her on her quest, and meets Rooster Cogburn (Jeff Bridges), an old drunk with a knack for getting these types of things done. Also looking for Chaney is a Ranger named LeBoeuf (Matt Damon), who wants to bring him back to Texas for another murder.

Must Watch: Teaser Trailer For The Coen Brothers’ ‘True Grit’ Has Arrived
The announcement of Ethan Coen and Joel Coen making a new adaptation of the Charles Portis novel, True Grit, was exciting to all fans of movies.
We’ve heard plenty about the movie along the way, but the real joy would only come when we saw the first trailer. That day has finally come. Paramount Pictures has released the very first teaser trailer for all to see, and it’s just as good as we’ve all hoped.
The trailer shows that this new True Grit — which is not a remake of the 1969 John Wayne movie of the same name, only an another adaptation of the original book — looks like it could be a fantastic new western movie, and it definitely shows off some of that Coen Brother tone. It also shows off some great cinematography and the expected strong performances of its impressive cast.
