WARNING: Spoilers for HBO’s Game Of Thrones….

The Season 6 premiere of Game Of Thrones was certainly an anticipated one, with the fate of so many characters left in question a year ago at the end of Season 5. Is Jon Snow really dead? Who exactly has taken Daenerys captive? Did Sansa and Theon survive their leap off the high walls of Winterfell? Will Arya remain blind? Where is Bran? What will Cersei and her twin brother/lover Jaime do now that yet another child of theirs has been murdered? And will Cersei have her revenge against the High Sparrow and his Sparrow minions who imprisoned and humiliated her? What will happen to Margaery and her brother Loras, both of whom are still prisoners of the High Sparrow. Will King Tommen ever leave his room? Where is Littlefinger and what’s his next move? What will happen in the War of Five Kings now that Stannis is dead? Will anyone call out the Red Woman now that her prophecies have been proven false? And will the Wildlings and the Night’s Watch men work together to defeat the invading White Walkers?

Titled “The Red Woman,” Episode 6.1, I’m sad to report, does not have anyone going off on Melisandre, the Red Woman, regarding her seriously faulty prophesies, but, it does thankfully touch base with all the aforementioned characters except Bran, Littlefinger, and the White Walkers.

Taboo From Tom Hardy, Ridley Scott

A trailer has been released for an upcoming FX and BBC One miniseries titled Taboo. It comes from Tom Hardy, who not only stars but also writes and executive produces, and Ridley Scott, who also executive produces.

The miniseries is set to run eight episodes, and it’s set in the early 19th century and follows a man (played by Hardy) once believed to be dead who returns home to inherit hit father’s shipping company. Hardy wrote the miniseries based on a story he and his father Chips Hardy, who serves as a consulting producer, came up with.

You can read more about Taboo and check out the trailer below.

Ian McShane Game of Thrones Deadwood Screenshot

Deadwood actor, Ian McShane is coming home to HBO! He has been officially cast in Season 6 of Game Of Thrones. Who he will be, is as yet unknown. But it seems a good fit. He already looks like he lives in one of the Seven Kingdoms, although I do feel he would be more at home in the North. Who knows? Maybe he is in the Bran and Hodor storyline, when they return in season 6. We really don’t know much about season 6 yet, but we will give it as we get it. Tune in right here.

More on that and an 8th season below.

Spoilers ahead for Season 5 of Game Of Thrones, and a recap of Episodes 5.9 and 5.10.

Remember back in Episode 8 when shit got real when the White Walkers showed up at the Wildling camp, killed tons of people, and then rose them from the dead to be a part of their undead army? Ok, well, that was shit getting real on a supernatural level. On last week’s Game Of Thrones, Episode 5.9 “The Dance Of Dragons,” it got real on an emotional level. “King” Stannis finally agreed to let Melisandre sacrifice his only child — his lovable, sweet daughter Shireen — to the Lord of Light so he’d have the means to continue on to Winterfell so he can defeat Roose Bolton. We had to watch in horror as poor young Shireen realized her fate and called out to her parents for help as she burned at the stake, but her cries fell on deaf ears. Over in Meereen, Daenerys once again came under attack by the Sons of the Harpy, who infiltrated the stands at the Daznak’s Pit, slaughtering the spectators and taking aim at their new ruler. Dany and her council barely escaped with the lives thanks to the return of Drogon, the large of Dany’s dragon’s who’s been out flying free for a long time now as his siblings stay chained beneath the The Great Pyramid.

Spoilers ahead for Season 5 of Game Of Thrones, and a recap of Episodes 5.8 and 5.9.

In last week’s Game Of Thrones, Episode 5.8 “Hardhome,” shit got real. Seriously. After five seasons of waiting for it, winter finally arrived and with it came the Undead. Jon Snow had taken several brothers of the Night’s Watch with his to Hardhome, the Wildling camp, in an effort to convince the Free Folk to join the men of Westeros against the coming White Walkers. As luck would have it, soon after Jon’s arrival, the White Walkers came and did the unimaginable — they slaughtered lots of people and then rose them from the dead to serve in their army!

Back in King’s Landing, Cersei Lannister was still rotting in her cell beneath the Red Keep, awaiting her trial, still refusing to confess her sins. Arya Stark assumed a new identity as part of her training to become one of the Faceless Men. Sansa was given a glimmer of hope when Theon/Reek revealed that he never murdered her brothers. Sansa’s sadistic new husband Ramsay wanted “20 good men” to defeat Stannis, whose withering forces are struggling on their way to Winterfell, where Ramsay’s father Roose resides as Warden Of The North. Over in Meereen, Daenerys appointed Tyrion to be her new advisor as she resumes her plans to take over Westeros.
