Colin Farrell Total Recall

More teasers for the teasers! Although, this time it’s more than a mere 7 seconds.

Sony has released a teaser video for the upcoming teaser trailer for their Total Recall remake, which will hit the web this Sunday.

Watch the 32-second teaser video here below.

Last summer at the Total Recall panel at San Diego Comic-Con and then later that year at New York Comic-Con, Sony showed off some footage for the reboot starring Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale, Bryan Cranston, Jessica Biel, and John Cho. At those times, the scenes presented weren’t final and much of the special effects hadn’t been put in yet, but what I saw I really enjoyed.

Total Recall

Not much has been heard or seen about the remake of Total Recall directed by Len Wiseman (Underworld) with Colin Farrell in the role Arnold Schwarzenegger played in the 1990 Paul Verhoeven-directed sci-fi action smash since it went into production last year, outside of a few promotional and behind-the-scenes photos and a presentation at the 2011 San Diego Comic-Con. With the movie scheduled for release later this summer, the lack of even a teaser trailer or poster is troubling for the latest cinematic adaptation of Philip K. Dick‘s short story “We Can Remember It For You Wholesale.”

Today, we have an international promo video featuring snippets of footage from the new Total Recall. You can watch it here below.

Underworld

With the recent release of the fourth installment, Awakening, the Underworld movies have proved to be one of those franchises that refuses to die as long as the last movie makes enough money to barely justify a sequel — the same criteria that has also kept the Resident Evil movies going long past their expiration date.

The clever people over at io9 have assembled the better parts of the first three films in the series – Underworld (2003), Underworld: Evolution (2006), and the prequel Underworld: Rise of the Lycans – into a three minute video.

Danger Girl

Back in April 2010, it was announced that a big-screen adaptation of the Wildstorm comic book series Danger Girl was in the works with Todd Lincoln at the helm and Adrian Askarieh producing.

Apparently, three big name actresses — two of whom are kick-ass action stars — are now attached to star in the film as the three Danger Girls from the series.

Latino Review is reporting that Milla Jovovich, Kate Beckinsale, and Sofia Vergara will be taking on these roles.

That is some serious business right there considering the nature of the Danger Girl comic book series, which debuted in 1998 from creators J. Scott Campbell and Andy Hartnell. It’s an action-adventure spy series that revolves around a group of highly intelligent and deadly buxom babes, all of whom have special skills in weaponry, demolitions, treasure-hunting, and more, of the top-secret organization Danger Girl.

The first trailer for Underworld: Awakening, the fourth film in the action-horror franchise that started in 2003, has been released online. You can watch an embedded trailer below this article.

The movie is directed by the team of Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein, Swedish filmmakers who made their directorial debut on the little-seen 2010 thriller Shelter starring Julianne Moore after working primarily in television in their native country for close to a decade. Len Wiseman, the director of the original Underworld and its 2006 sequel Underworld: Evolution (and currently directing the Total Recall remake), is on board as a producer. The screenplay was written by Babylon 5 creator J. Michael Straczynski, who also has numerous comic book (Amazing Spider-Man) and film (Ninja Assassin, Thor, Changeling) writing credits to his name.
