| Rumor For Your Thoughts: Matt Damon, Morgan Freeman, Kevin Costner To Join Tom Cruise In ‘Magnificent Seven’ |

Sometimes a rumor enters your eyespace that you feel has to be made up by someone who has far too much time on their hands and wanted to score some easy traffic for their site. Those are the rumors you scoff at and ignore, mumbling something no one will ever hear you say as you move on to other more reliable news sources. Then there’s the times where those rumors surface, and, no matter how fabricated they feel, must be shared with you the masses. Last month we were surprised to find out that MGM (who’s trying to make a big comeback from near death with multiple remakes) was developing a new remake of the western classic (and remake in its own right of Akira Kurosawa’s Seven Samurai), The Magnificent Seven with Tom Cruise attached to star. That’s still as far as accurate details about the movie go, but a shiny new rumor has a trio of actors in line to join the cast that would force you to pay attention to the movie.

| Warner Bros. Unveils The Official ‘Man of Steel’ Logo
Other than an image released last year of Henry Cavill looking mighty Kryptonian, there hasn’t been much seen on the promotional front for Man of Steel, the Zack Snyder-directed reboot of the Superman movie franchise. Now, Warner Bros. has released the film’s official logo. You can check out the image here below. While there will probably never be a better Superman movie in my lifetime than the 1978 epic original directed by Richard Donner that cast the late Christopher Reeve in the role that would come to define his career (and in a sense his life), I am looking forward to seeing how Snyder, co-writers David Goyer and Jonathan Nolan, producer Christopher Nolan, and their amazing cast attempt to make the Last Son of Krypton a 21st century badass to compete on the big screen with his DC brother Batman and the Mighty Marvel Movie Bullpen.

| Geek Discussion: Will Michael Shannon’s General Zod Have A CGI Suit In ‘Man Of Steel’? |
 |

Some snapshots from the set of Zack Snyder‘s Superman reboot, Man of Steel, have found their way to the ‘net, and one of the images has folks talking about a potential decision that could have fans quite angry. The images come from the Kent farmhouse set, where young Superman (Henry Cavill) was raised by Martha (Diane Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner). In one image in particular it appears that the villain, General Zod (Michael Shannon, or his stunt double), is visiting the Kent house, and it looks like he’s wearing some sort of performance capture suit, leading many to wonder if his suit will be added digitally later. This has been done once before, when it was announced that Ryan Reynolds’ superhero suit would be completely CGI in Green Lantern, which was, well…frowned upon by many. Continue on below now to check out the image for yourself and share your thoughts on what might be going on, as well as your feeling if it is indeed another CGI suit–in-the–making.
