
The cast for Matthew Vaughn‘s adaptation of the comic book series X-Men: First Class has been moving at a furious pace lately, with new announcements and rumors popping up left and right.
Things began with a couple of big bangs with the announcements that James McAvoy would be playing a young Professor Xavier and Michael Fassbender would be playing a young Magneto.
After that, casting moved on to the actors who would be taking on youthful versions of many popular X-Men characters. We first heard that Benjamin Walker would be playing Beast in the movie, but that has since changed when he decided it would be better to stick with playing Andrew Jackson on Broadway. Interesting choice, no doubt. It has since been revealed that Nicholas Hoult would be taking his place in the role. Hoult has appeared in movies like About a Boy, Clash of the Titans, and the upcoming Mad Max: Fury Road.
