‘X-Men: Apocalyspe’ Will Focus On Mystique and Beast Relationship; Close Out ‘First Class’ Trilogy

The first two films of the X-Men: First Class trilogy centered on the early days of Professor X and Magneto’s relationship. The bond between the two can be described as strange since they seem like they are friends but their opposing views put them on opposite corners of the war between humans and mutants. But there is one relationship that the prequels seem to have forgotten about: the relationship between Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) and Beast (Nicolas Hoult).
Now, Days Of Future Past screenwriter Simon Kinberg says X-Men: Apocalypse will focus on that relationship once more, and adds that Apocalypse will close out the First Class trilogy. Hit the jump to learn more.

‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Starts Shooting In Montreal In 2015

X-Men: Days of Future Past may not have been the massive box office hit that Fox was hoping to have, a near 60% drop in box office revenue in its second week hurt the film’s numbers, but the hugely positive response was enough to give studio heads the confidence to move forward with its sequel X-Men: Apocalypse.
Bryan Singer and Simon Kinberg have been hard at work trying to crack the script, and it looks like they have finally done it, as it has been confirmed that filming will begin next year in Canada.

Anna Paquin’s Rogue Cut From ‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past’

If you were looking forward to seeing True Blood star Anna Paquin reprise her role as Rogue in the upcoming X-Men: First Class sequel X-Men: Days of Future Past, there’s a bit of bad news.
As it turns out, Paquin only shot one scene for the movie—a rescue sequence featuring Rogue, Iceman (Shawn Ashmore), and best buddies Magneto (Ian McKellen) and Professor X (Patrick Stewart). In the end, director Bryan Singer simply had too much good content (never a bad thing), and had to sacrifice the scene.

Two Amazing New Posters For ‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past’ Released

Remember when that first X-Men: First Class picture came out, and everyone was stunned by how atrocious it was? Fortunately the movie was much, much better than that picture.
Thankfully for us, early marketing for the sequel, X-Men: Days of Future Past, is going much better. The movie already has people excited due to its megafusion of the casts of First Class, Bryan Singer‘s (who returns to the franchise to direct again) first two X-Men movies, and new actors like Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage.
Two new posters for the movie have been released, and they’re pretty incredible. The posters feature Professor X and Magneto, both young and old, and all four actors who portray them, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Michael Fassbender, and James McAvoy, in one brilliant design. Check out the posters below!

UPDATED! Bryan Singer Casts ‘Game Of Thrones’ Star Peter Dinklage In ‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past’

*Update below*
We haven’t heard a whole lot of new castings for X-Men: Days of Future Past, the sequel to X-Men: First Class being directed by original X-Men movie director Bryan Singer. In fact, we haven’t heard any…not until now, anyway. All of the castings to this point have been either returning stars from First Class, or actors from the original trilogy coming back to reprise their roles.
But new actors had to join the party at some point, and Singer chose a great name to kick off the newcomer castings.
Singer took to the Twitter to announce that Peter Dinklage, star of the hit HBO series Game of Thrones, has joined the cast of Days of Future Past. Unfortunately, he has not yet shared who the actor will be playing.

Hugh Jackman In Talks To Return As Wolverine In ‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past’

Losing previous director Matthew Vaughn – possibly to Star Wars Episode VII – has not slowed down development on X-Men: Days of Future Past one bit. Shortly after Vaughn’s departure Bryan Singer, a producer on the Vaughn-directed X-Men: First Class, signed on to direct his first X-Men film since 2003’s X2. Then just yesterday Singer confirmed that Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen would be re-entering the franchise as the older Professor X and his friend and nemesis Magneto.
One of the remaining question marks surrounding the casting of Days of Future Past would be whether or not Hugh Jackman would also be joining the ever-growing ensemble cast. He’s become the X-Men franchise’s star player and good luck charm so it should come as no surprise to anyone that Jackman is now in negotiations to return as Wolverine.

Bryan Singer To Direct ‘X-Men: First Class’ Sequel ‘Days Of Future Past’

Recently we found out that X-Men: First Class director Matthew Vaughn was walking away from the sequel, X-Men: Days of Future Past. At the time, it was said that the name at the top of Twentieth Century Fox’s list to replace Vaughn, was none other than X-Men and X2 director Bryan Singer.
Now comes word that Singer has indeed been confirmed for the movie, having just finalized a deal with Fox. The roles look as if they’ll be reversed, as well, as Vaughn is near a deal that would allow him to at least produce the sequel, along with Lauren Shuler Donner and writer Simon Kinberg.

‘X-Men: First Class’ Director Matthew Vaughn Not Directing Sequel; Bryan Singer Possible

There was a lot of uncertainty when an X-Men prequel set back in the ’60s was announced, but X-Men: First Class arrived and won over the masses, many of whom considered it to be the best X-Men movie yet. Matthew Vaughn (Layer Cake, Kick-Ass), the man who directed First Class, was a big reason for the film’s success, and it was reported back in January that he’d be back for the sequel, as well.
Now comes word, unfortunately, that Vaughn has decided not to make the sequel, which we found out would be based on the popular storyline Days of Future Past. But, while that’s not news that will make fans happy, there is now a chance that Bryan Singer will step in to take his place.
