South Park: The Fractured but Whole

South Park: The Stick of Truth was one of my favorite games of last year. A game that allowed you to spend hours and hours inside the world of South Park you’ve spent so much time watching on TV.

That game had a long development process, with South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone heavily involved in its creation. But it didn’t sound like we’d be getting another game like it because of the rocky road that was traveled in making it. Thankfully that’s not the case. Kicking off Ubisoft’s E3 2015 presentation, an announcement trailer for a sequel to Stick of Truth titled South Park: The Fractured but Whole was shown.

You can watch the announcement trailer below.

The Simpsons

Any fan of The Simpsons or South Park knows that the top names involved with those shows voice a whole lot of the characters that exist in those animated universes.

But do you know exactly how many characters these actors voice? A pair of new images give you a name and every character they voice on the show, and some might surprise you. With The Simpsons, just a handful of actors voice over 100 characters. On South Park, four actors voice over 80 characters, with Trey Parker and Matt Stone doing 55 themselves.

You can see who voices who below!

Team America: World Police

Now that Sony has apparently thrown in the white towel with their not-upcoming-anymore brutally honest and eye-opening documentary on North Korea, The Interview…wait, it’s not a brutally honest and eye-opening documentary about the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea supreme leader Kim Jong-un? It’s actually a silly satirical comedy starring Seth Rogen and James Franco? Well, that’s weird. Someone should let them know.

While many theaters are running from all of this madness, the Dallas/Fort Worth Alamo Drafthouse has decided to turn up a defiant middle finger. The theater will replace The Interview with a special screening of South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone‘s satirical marionette puppet comedy Team America: World Police. Read more about the event below.

South Park: The Stick of Truth Xbox 360

South Park: The Stick of Truth
Xbox 360 l PlayStation 3 l PC
DEVELOPER: Obsidian Entertainment
PUBLISHER: Ubisoft
WRITERS: Trey Parker, Matt Stone
RELEASE DATE: March 4, 2014

It begins with a simple screen of black, the words “Press START” floating in the middle while some epic music plays in the background. Is this the next big fantasy video game? Why no, this is South Park: The Stick of Truth.

Fans of the hit Comedy Central animated series have been awaiting the arrival of this game for a long time now after various speedbumps (it was initially being published by THQ, who ended up going under before Ubisoft swooped in and saved the day) and delays saw its release date pushed back again and again. Sometimes delays like this can spell doom for a game. Sometimes it simply means that the game’s makers are taking as much time as necessary to deliver the best possible product.

Well the time is now, folks. The Stick of Truth finally hits store shelves today. Continue reading to see if it is everything you’ve hoped it would be, or if it’s just another animated TV show turned video game that fails to deliver!

South Park: The Stick of Truth

Last month it was revealed that the highly anticipated new South Park RPG game, South Park: The Stick of Truth, finally had an official release date after multiple delays, and it felt like it was for real this time. Sadly, that’s not the case.

It’s being reported that the game has once again been pushed back, this time from its December release to March 4th of 2014. Grr. Argh. But on the bright side of life, a new seven-minute gameplay video has been released. You can check that out below.
