| Geek Peek: Josh Brolin & Megan Fox In ‘Jonah Hex’ |
 |
The first images of Josh Brolin in full costume from the set of Jonah Hex have made their way out on to the web, complete with his severely deformed half-face. The graphic novel adaptation is currently filming and is helmed by Horton Hears A Who! co-director Jimmy Hayward.
It’s not yet known exactly which storyline will be used for the movie, but Jonah Hex is about a Confederate Civil War soldier-turned bounty hunter with half of his face deformed. John Malkovich also stars in the movie as the villain Quentin Turnbull, “the man with the eagle-topped cane,” which may give a clue to the possible storyline. Turnbull’s son and Hex were friends when the Union slaughtered him and many other soldiers after Hex refused to give information. They blamed the slaughter on Hex and Turnbull made it his mission to destroy him. To go along with these cool first looks at Josh Brolin, there’s also some peeks at Megan Fox in Jonah Hex, as well. These images came out quite a while back, but in case you missed them then, they are here now to accompany Mr. Brolin. Head over to the other side to see a few of these images, click them to go large.

| Megan Fox Boards Two Comic-Based Projects In ‘Jonah Hex’ & ‘Fathom’
Megan Fox is definitely making an effort at becoming the ultimate fanboy fantasy girl. It’s being reported that Fox is in final negotiations to star in Jonah Hex, and that she is already attached to star in and develop a movie based on the comic Fathom. Fox’s role in Jonah Hex would be that of Leila, the beautiful, but deadly love interest of Josh Brolin‘s Jonah Hex. The movie follows Jonah Hex, a horribly scarred Civil War soldier who spends his days as a bounty hunter. Hex also stars John Malkovich as the villain character. It’s directed by Jimmy Hayward (Horton Hears A Who!).

| ‘Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen’ Teaser Trailer |
 |
The new teaser trailer for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has debuted online. This is coming off the very explosive (literally) Super Bowl TV spot, and already, they’ve one-upped themselves.
The teaser starts off showing a bunch of fireballs of debris raining down through buildings and even tearing apart a massive aircraft carrier. Then we see that this debris is actually a horde of angry bots who are obviously on some sorta mission. This sets in motion a collection of shots of screaming, scared faces, and some big f’n robots wreaking havoc — including the gigantic bot at the end, throwing around Optimus Prime like a kid playing with his Transformers. (See what I did there? Gold Sticker for me.) One very interesting thing that I noticed about the trailer is that it’s surprisingly dark for the type of movie it is. We’re used to director Michael Bay selling his movies based on huge explosions and car chases, which are obviously going on full-force here — but there’s also usually a hint of that panicky, “I think we’re going to die” humor that’s always used plentifully in Bay’s movies. Maybe it’s just me, but it seems like there’s more of a “we’re actually going to die” darker tone going on than we’re used to with Bay. Good times. Click on over for the trailer!

| New ‘Transformers 2’ Images & Plot Details DreamWorks has released some brand new images from Michael Bay‘s uber-sequel Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
Both Empire and USA Today have the exclusive images which show everything from stars Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox running away from something unseen and surely horrifying, LaBeouf hanging on for dear life while cars fly through the air, and a pretty large looking explosion. Not much is known of the plot so far, but apparently the sequel will see the Autobots joining up with the U.S. military to fight the Decepticons, who have invaded Earth after Sam Witwicky (LaBeouf) discovers a very deep secret about the origins of the Transformers.

During the middle of the Transformers, a fat kid with a digital camera comes running out of his house to take pictures of craters that fell from the night sky. He screams “this is 100 percent better than Armageddon!” Director Michael Bay makes it clear to us that he’s having a blast making this movie. The kid wasn’t lying. It is more fun than Bay’s Armageddon, and his Pearl Harbor. He found the right place to work his magic and we don’t feel overwhelmed by the special effects. This movie needs them unlike his previous films did. Having Steven Spielberg as executive producer could have only helped Bay. I was never into the whole Transformers craze that was full throttle through the ’80s and ’90s. Morphing cars, airplanes, anything, it never struck interest in me. Never watching it could be a good thing because I didn’t expect it to be much (unlike TMNT). Watching it could have been a good thing as well because I could have a better idea of what was going on with the meaning and importance of the cube. Transformers proves to be a great action film and a great teenage love story at the same time. Fan of the franchise or not, the movie does it good justice.
