| New Image Gives Clear Look At Josh Brolin As Jonah Hex |
 |

A brand new image from the adaptation of graphic novel Jonah Hex has been released online. We had seen a couple of images from behind the scenes, and we’ve seen the first not-so-well-designed one-sheet from the movie (seen at right — we don’t want Gone in 60 Seconds; we want gritty, dark old west graphic novel goodness), but this is the first large and clear look at star Josh Brolin as the deformed 19th century anti-hero in full Civil War gear. The movie follows Hex, a veteran of the Confederate army whose face is terribly deformed. After the war, he concentrates his talents into a life of work as a bounty hunter. No exact details are known on what storyline the movie will take, but there is a synopsis below, though it does hint at things that have been denied like John Malkovich as Quentin Turnbull unleashing “Hell.” This could refer to a rumored storyline where Turnbull goes voodoo and forms an army of the dead which director Jimmy Hayward denied at Comic Con. Click on over to check out the first image and possible synopsis.

| New ‘Jennifer’s Body’ Featurette Gives Us A Closer Peek At Megan Fox’s Demon |
 |
A brand new “On-Set” featurette for Jennifer’s Body has been released by 20th Century Fox. The video gives us a little bit of a better look at the Diablo Cody (Juno) penned movie and what it’s about, as well as brief clips of director Karyn Kusama (Æon Flux, Girlfight) and stars Megan Fox (Transformers, Jonah Hex) and Amanda Seyfried (Mean Girls, Alpha Dog) talking about their parts in the project.
The story follows a popular high school cheerleader (Fox) who becomes possessed with a demon after an attempt to use her as a sacrifice goes awry. After the demon takes over her body, she begins to seduce the boys of her high school (with ease), and when they’re close enough, she feeds on them. Her best friend since childhood (Seyfried) happens to be more on the nerdy side of the clique fence, and finds herself in a position where she needs to stop Jennifer’s carnage-ridden path of death and devouring. Click on over to the other side check out the feature which was released via Yahoo! Movies.

| SDCC 09: ‘Jonah Hex’ Panel |
 |

Jonah Hex was part of the Warner Bros. presentation on Friday at the San Diego Comic-Con and unlike the other major presentations in Hall H, the security for the WB properties was insanely tight. Those of us covering the panels were not allowed to keep our laptops open to take notes of the footage shown (other studios didn’t have a problem with this, as long as we turned the backlight off). Because of this, it was hard to take detailed notes of the footage, so a few of us did a Check out the video blog over at footage-reaction video blog as soon as the panels were over for Jonah Hex, as well as the reboot of A Nightmare On Elm Street.
Check out the video blog over at /Film of Dave3 and me, along with Peter from /Film, Alex from First Showing, Vic from Screen Rant, and Dan from Totally Rad Show discussing the footage of Jonah Hex and Elm Street. At right is the new poster that debuted for Jonah Hex; below are photos from the panel. See SDCC 09: Jackie Earle Haley Nails Freddy Krueger In New “˜A Nightmare On Elm Street’ Footage for my full coverage of the Elm Street panel and of Jackie Earle Haley’s portrayal of Freddy Krueger. The Jonah Hex panel included director Jimmy Hayward, along with stars Josh Brolin, Michael Fassbender, and Megan Fox. The Jonah Hex film, based on DC Comics series of the same name, is a spaghetti western action flick that includes elements of sideshow and absurdity, as well as the supernatural and fantastical. Hayward stressed that although there’s a supernatural element in the film, there’s no voodoo practitioner raising an army of the undead, as has been reported.

| Movie Review: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen |
 |
Transformer: Revenge of the Fallen
Directed by Michael Bay
Starring Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel
Rated PG-13
Release Date: June 24, 2009
When Transformers came out in 2007 and was a huge hit, you had to have known that a sequel was waiting in the wings. While it was an entertaining movie, it was far from perfect, due to the fact that it had to set up a lot of the origin story. Now with Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, the sequel can hit the ground running, but does it deliver like its predecessor? It has been two years since our main protagonist Sam (Shia LaBeouf) has encountered the Transformers and life has moved on. He is going to college and trying to maintain a long distant relationship with his girlfriend Mikaela (Megan Fox). He has all but put the Transformers behind him but unfortunately, the Decepticons have other ideas. Apparently remains of the All Spark, the cube that brought all electronic machines to life, are still on Earth and hold the key to giving the Decepticons the upper hand in the destruction of the Autobots. This puts Sam smack dab in the middle of the war between the Transformers once again. Now, just so no one gets the wrong idea, if you have seen the first movie or have seen trailers of this movie, I am already assuming that you are not paying money to see Revolutionary Road. Revenge of the Fallen is about as big a popcorn flick as can be. The explosions are bigger, the action sequences are more eye-popping, and the overall story and dialogue are virtually non-existent. This is one movie that is all about eye candy folks, but that is not to say that that is a bad thing.

| ‘Transformers’ Takes Over The Luxor In Las Vegas Transformers has taken over the Luxor on the Las Vegas strip.
A huge wrap of Transformers is currently covering an entire side of the Vegas casino hotel, which looks like the film’s main bot Optimus Prime is bursting out of the 500-feet-high pyramid-shaped building. The Optimus Prime image is over 100,000 square feet. Click the image here at right for the larger, full version of the Luxor’s Transformers takeover. The takeover, which is the world’s largest building wrap to date, is in promotion of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, the upcoming sequel to 2007’s Transformers.
