Michael Fassbender in Assassin's Creed Movie

20th Century Fox has released a second trailer for Assassin’s Creed, the movie adaptation of the hit video game series of the same name. The first trailer was released back in May.

This new trailer is longer than the first trailer and dives more into the time when the character Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) is getting acquainted with the mysterious corporation Abstergo and their virtual reality machine the Animus, mixed with some glimpses of his time inside the Animus itself where he experiences the life of his ancestor, the assassin Aguilar, over 500 years in the past.

You can read an official plot synopsis for the movie and watch the new trailer below.

Assassin's Creed Starring Michael Fassbender

The first official trailer for Assassin’s Creed, the movie based on the hit video game franchise of the same name starring Michael Fassbender, has been released online by 20th Century Fox.

In the movie, much like in the games, Fassbender’s character Callum Lynch re-lives the memories of one of his ancestors, an assassin from 15th century Spain named Aguilar, using a special machine called the Animus from the corporation Abstergo Industries.

Michael Fassbender Assassin's Creed Header Image

Yesterday, we were offered our first official look at Assassin’s Creed, 20th Century Fox’s big screen adaptation of the popular video game of the same name starring Michael Fassbender as Callum Lynch. It has been confirmed that the film adaptation would take place in the same universe as the video game, but will be a separate story. Fassbender reunites with his Macbeth director, Justin Kurzel, as well as Macbeth co-star Marion Cotillard.

Since the film is based on the same premise as the video game the film is based on, we will definitely be seeing Lynch as a descendant of a long line of Assassins. And these two new images are a reflection of that. Check out the two new images below.

20th Century Fox has released the very first image of Michael Fassbender as Callum Lynch in the big screen adaptation of Assassin’s Creed. The film is based on the very popular video game of the same name. However, Fassbender’s character is not based on any character from the games, and was created just for the movie. The cinematic character will exist in the same world as his fellow video game characters, furthering the mystery of the rivalry between two ancient secret societies: the Assassins and the Knights Templar.

Check out the first look at Fassbender, plus more on the film as well as a plot synopsis, below.

The Gambler starring Mark Wahlberg

Those who have been waiting for a great trailer to talk about, your wait ends here. Paramount Pictures has just debuted the teaser trailer for Rupert Wyatt‘s The Gambler, starring Mark Wahlberg as a literature professor who moonlights as a high-rolling gambler. The film is actually a remake of the 1974 drama of the same name.

Now we’ve all seen remakes and films about gambling before, but this teaser really sets the bar pretty high with limited footage and choice words. And because we see so very little of the film in this trailer, which runs under two minutes, we get more compelling drama and more reasons to watch the trailer over and over again. But beware, the trailer doesn’t hold back on a certain four-letter word, so I suggest you put some headphones on or wait until you find some privacy to see it. Hit the jump to check it out.
