God of War

It’s been a long, long time since we heard anything about the hit video game franchise, God of War, being turned into a movie. Once upon a time Brett Ratner was attached to the project, but it was well over three years ago now that we were told that Ratner was putting the movie on the back burner and moving on to “Trump Heist,” which of course became Tower Heist.

Now the mighty Kratos has resurfaced, and it appears Universal is ready to give it another go. The studio has hired Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan to rewrite a draft of the script penned by executive producer David Self.

Piranha 3DD

So what’s the big difference between the new red band trailer for Dimension Films’ summer splatter spectacle sequel Piranha 3DD and the tamer theatrical trailer that was released almost a month ago? In the words of Chris Griffin, “BOOBIES!”

You can watch the red band trailer here below.

In addition to the bounty of bouncing boobage on display here we have David Hasselhoff in a cheeky cameo, Ving Rhames getting all Planet Terror-ed up, Gary Busey getting gnawed up by piranha guppies, and the lovely Danielle Panabaker doing a Shivers/Slither bathtub homage. The Feast team of director John Gulager and screenwriters Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton (with additional assistance from producer Joel Soisson) are on hand to orchestrate another glorious ballet of carnage and chesticles.

You can watch it here below.

Alexandre Aja, the director of the 2010 hit Piranha 3D, has turned over his directorial duties to John Gulager this time around.

Saw

When Saw first came out in 2004, it was a vicious and unique new addition to the world of horror, and very few people could deny how much gory fun it was.

It was so popular, in fact, that sequels soon followed and they kept coming. By 2009 — yes, only 5 short years later — they were already releasing Saw VI. Many faithful fans have continued to line up the second a new installment is released, and as with any franchise, these fans have the ones they like and the ones they didn’t like. On the other hand, there’s another group of people who loathe what the franchise has become, and consider it a constant recycling of the exact same idea, surgically engineered to take the money of unsuspecting consumers every Halloween season.

With each and every Saw film, it has become more and more apparent that the popularity is slowly weakening. And so the question has arisen: when will Jigsaw orchestrate his final cruel trap?
