| ‘Saw,’ ‘Piranha 3DD’ Scribes Resurrecting Michael Myers In ‘Halloween Returns’
Remember back in February when it was announced that the never-ending Halloween franchise was preparing to spawn yet another installment of the kill crazy adventures of everyone’s favorite silent, slaughtering wraith Michael Myers? The word they were using this time was “recalibration,” because “reboot” had officially become so last decade. It’s still happening, and whether or not that’s a good thing depends entirely on you. Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan, the screenwriters of four Saw sequels, all three Feast flicks, the 2009 horror sleeper hit The Collector and its 2012 follow-up The Collection, and Piranha 3DD, are hard at work on the motion picture that is now being referred to publicly as Halloween Returns. Dunstan, who directed The Collector and The Collection, is also currently on board to direct.

| ‘Sin City: A Dame To Kill For’ Red Band Comic-Con Trailer Has Blood, Bullets, and Badass Ladies
Over the weekend Dimension Films brought their all-star comic book noir sequel Sin City: A Dame to Kill For to the San Diego Comic-Con for a panel with director Robert Rodriguez, Sin City creator/writer/artist Frank Miller, and several of the film’s stars in attendance. In addition to the celebrity presence some new footage was screened, including an extended red band trailer. That trailer is now online for all to behold. You can watch it here below.

| Clive Barker Working On ‘Hellraiser’ Remake With Doug Bradley Returning As Pinhead
We’ve heard about a planned Hellraiser remake for many years now, but nothing has ever come of it…thankfully. But now comes news straight from the man who created Hellraiser, Clive Barker, which will have those who hate remakes conflicted and confused. According to Barker, he’s now working on the remake himself, and has full intentions of bringing back Doug Bradley to play Pinhead. | ‘Sin City 2’ Officially On The Way; Casting Begins Next Week, Shooting To Start This SummerEndless rumors have surrounded the possibility of a Sin City 2, the follow-up to Robert Rodriquez‘s wondfully stylized 2005 adaptation of Frank Miller‘s graphic novel of the same name. So much so that fans had all but given up hope that the sequel would actually ever happen. Today, rumor becomes fact. Original director Rodriguez, along with Miller and producer Alexander Rodnyansky, have announced that they are ready to begin production on the sequel, which will be titled Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, through Rodriquez’s Quick Draw Productions and Rodnyansky’s AR Films, with Dimension Films handling domestic distribution. Casting will begin on the project next week, with shooting expected to happen sometime this summer.

In recent weeks online news sites have been treating the in-demand blockbuster schlock master’s plans for revitalizing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series (which will now be called Ninja Turtles and the title characters will be alien in origin) like they were continuing developments in the Trayvon Martin case. Bay and his Platinum Dunes production company are now looking the Halloween movie series to their stable of brand name cinematic properties.
