| New Poster Reveals Why They Call It ‘Piranha 3DD’If there’s anything that trailers for Piranha 3DD have taught us, it’s that boobs, blood, and cheesy dialogue make for an excellent exploitation film. So why should any of the other promotional materials sell themselves short? A new poster for Piranha 3DD has been released, and even though there are a few Photoshop touches, it puts the boob portion of exploitation films in the spotlight. I can’t be entirely sure whom the body belongs too, although I don’t think it really matters considering what the movie is really about and considering that DD is in the title, I think the image is fitting for the poster.

| Watch The New ‘Piranha 3DD’ Red Band TrailerSo what’s the big difference between the new red band trailer for Dimension Films’ summer splatter spectacle sequel Piranha 3DD and the tamer theatrical trailer that was released almost a month ago? In the words of Chris Griffin, “BOOBIES!” You can watch the red band trailer here below. In addition to the bounty of bouncing boobage on display here we have David Hasselhoff in a cheeky cameo, Ving Rhames getting all Planet Terror-ed up, Gary Busey getting gnawed up by piranha guppies, and the lovely Danielle Panabaker doing a Shivers/Slither bathtub homage. The Feast team of director John Gulager and screenwriters Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton (with additional assistance from producer Joel Soisson) are on hand to orchestrate another glorious ballet of carnage and chesticles.

| Watch Now: ‘Piranha 3DD’ Trailer Takes A Bloody Bite Out Of The Big ScreenThe 3D horror remake sequel Piranha 3DD was originally supposed to open last November before it was pulled from Dimension Films’ release schedule and given an unspecified 2012 premiere date, but that didn’t stop the studio from releasing a new trailer today. You can watch it here below. Alexandre Aja, the director of the 2010 hit Piranha 3D, has turned over his directorial duties to John Gulager this time around.

| ‘Piranha 3DD’ Still Heading To TheatersSure, the first film may have been shockingly entertaining in its gruesome and somewhat inventive use of piranha-based violence, but expectations for the sequel, Piranha 3DD, aren’t all that high. However, that doesn’t mean you’ll be seeing it skip out on theaters. Early this week, rumors arose via Digital Spy that the film’s distributors, Entertainment Film Distributors, planned to release the film directly to DVD and Blu-ray on March 19. However, director John Gulager has spoken to STYD and revealed that the film is still set to hit theaters come this spring.

| Scream Awards 2011: See David Hasselhoff In The ‘Piranha 3DD’ Teaser TrailerAt the Spike TV 2011 Scream Awards, Piranha 3D won the award for Most Memorable Mutilation for the scene where the girl gets scalped alive by a motorboat. To accept the award was none other than Scalped Alive By Motorboat Girl herself, a massive digitally projected talking head which arose from the pool of water on stage, who, while honored and excited to accept the award, went on to introduce the world premiere of the teaser trailer for Piranha 3D.
