| Drew Struzan Original ‘Police Academy’ Poster Art Going For 40K
Drew Struzan is retired now, and it’s doubtful we’ll ever see his like again, not in this universe. Struzan is by far one of the greatest movie poster artists the industry produced; he has created the posters for the Indiana Jones series, the 1997 Star Wars Special Edition re-releases, the Back to the Future trilogy, the 1982 version of The Thing, and other cherished films too numerous to count. He also designed the poster art for three of the Police Academy movies, and now a large selection of Struzan’s original acrylic paintings are being sold for big bucks at the artist’s website.

| Steve Guttenberg Was Right: ‘Police Academy’ Reboot Is Happening |
|
Back in November, Steve Guttenberg was making some very interesting claims. The ’80s star seemed not just confident, but downright positive that not only was Walt Disney developing a third film in his Three Men and a Baby franchise, but that it was time to revisit both Police Academy and Cocoon as well. All of this as a whole remains to be seen for sure, but one of these has become an official possibility. It’s being reported that New Line Cinema is developing their very own Police Academy reboot, and that one of the original producers, Paul Maslansky, is back for the job here. Since the first film’s release in 1984, six more films have been put out — each one disliked more than the last. If you’re a child of that time period, however, you have to have a soft spot somewhere for the first two or three movies at least, but even then, that was the absolute limit. All seven films combined pulled in $240 million, which as you know, is about the average budget of your typical, run-of-the-mill Summer blockbuster these days.

Wait, wait — it definitely gets better. Guttenberg also claims that, he Ted Danson, AND Tom Selleck are all set to reprise their roles. Oh, thank you…thank you, God. The 1987 original movie was a hugely popular hit back in its day. It followed a trio of friends who are living the bachelor life in a sweet bachelor pad before a mysterious baby shows up at their door that supposedly belongs to one of them. Hilarity ensues when these completely unfitting fathers attempt to care for the baby and of its glorious baby habits. The film spawned a sequel entitled Three Men and a Little Lady in which the mother comes back and plans to move the kid to London.
