
Sony held an event today, in which they officially unveiled their long-rumored new PlayStation console. The new console is called the PS4 Pro, and it will offer players the option of doing their gaming in shiny 4K resolution.
In addition to the PS4 Pro, a new slimmer version of the standard PS4 was also revealed. Those who don’t yet have a PS4 but have been planning to get one eventually (mainly people who have been waiting for them to announce the new console or a price drop before committing) will now be able to grab the new slimmer standard console for $300, or throw down a little more coin for the fancy 4K system priced at $400. Dropping the extra $100 if you have it sounds like it could be a good move, as you can still play games that are said to look better than ever on a non-4K TV, and if you do one day get a new TV you’ll be all set.
