| Starz Renews ‘Ash vs Evil Dead’ For Season 3
In front of an army of chainsaw foam finger-wearing Ash vs Evil Dead fans at Hammerstein Ballroom for New York Comic-Con on Thursday afternoon, star Bruce Campbell told the screaming crowd that the only way to guarantee more seasons of the show they loved was to subscribe to Starz network and download the Starz App. Literally one day later, Ash vs Evil Dead was renewed by Starz for a third season.

Air date: Sunday, October 9, 2016, 8pm Sometimes your eyes see things they can’t un-see. Yesterday at New York Comic-Con, inside a packed Hammerstein Ballroom, the cast of Ash vs Evil Dead held a hilarious 45-minute panel discussion before debuting the second episode of their second season on the Starz network. Bruce Campbell, the man himself, introduced the episode to a crowd fist bumping their foam finger chainsaw hands. And then he issued the warning”¦ you are about to see something so crazy that it’s never been done before on television”¦ you’ll know it when you see, and you may want to, but you will not be able to turn away. After the panel, we were treated to an advanced screening of the next episode, Episode 2.2 “The Morgue” – check out my recap of it here below.

| NYCC 2016: The ‘Ash vs Evil Dead’ Panel
For the second time in two years, I began my NYCC experience with Ash vs Evil Dead. Once again emanating from midtown Manhattan’s Hammerstein Ballroom, the panel was bigger and bloodier for Starz’s hit show. The panel this year included Bruce Campbell (of course), dressed very dapper (of course). He was joined by his colleagues Ray Santiago (Pablo), Dana DeLorenzo (Kelly), Lucy Lawless (Ruby), Ted Raimi (Chet), Michelle Hurd (Linda B.) and Lee F*CKIN Majors (Brock Williams).

Air date: Sunday, October 2, 2016, 8pm Spoilers below for Ash vs Evil Dead… When we last left our demon slaying heroes on Ash vs Evil Dead, Ash (Bruce Campbell) made a deal with the head demon Ruby (Lucy Lawless) that put him and his new pals out of harm’s way and safely in his own personal paradise… Jacksonville, Florida. For the Season 2 premiere, “Home,” we open with Ruby battling demons. Lucy Lawless quickly gets introduced to Evil Dead tradition, as one spews boiling black vomit blood onto her”¦ welcome to the club, Lucy! She fights them off long enough to realize that despite the truce, only Ash can truly end this. Unfortunately, that’s going to interfere with Ash’s plans. He is the star of the Jacksonville show, chainsawing through kegs and using his boomstick on beer bottles.

| ‘Ash vs Evil Dead’ Season 2 Premiere Is Now Online! |

Ash vs Evil Dead was unquestionably my favorite new show of last year. Debuting on the Starz network on Halloween, it picked up with a now older and not yet wiser Ash Williams (Bruce Campbell), who mistakenly awoke the evil dead by reading from the Necronomicon, while getting high with a lady friend. Things did not go well from then and he was forced to once again don the chainsaw and boomstick to fight evil. Only this time he wasn’t alone. He had sidekicks Pablo (Ray Santiago) and Kelly (Dana DeLorenzo) along for the ride, with Ruby (Lucy Lawless) in hot pursuit. Now, the network has released the Season 2 premiere episode, “Home,” early for online viewers for free at their site. It’s also available now through on STARZ On Demand. The premiere will air on the Starz cable channel this Sunday, October 2, 2016 at 8pm EST.
