| ‘Breaking Bad’ Star Bryan Cranston Joins Colin Farrell In ‘Total Recall’ Remake
An actor has been chosen to play one of the villains in the upcoming remake of Total Recall, and that actor looks like it will be Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston, who’s currently in negotiations for the role. The movie is a remake of the 1990 movie of the same name, which is based on the Philip K. Dick story We Can Remember It for You Wholesale. It follows a man named Douglas Quaid who takes a vacation of the mind to the planet Mars, but when he suspects his memories have been corrupted in hopes of hiding his own reality he ventures to the planet for real, causing him to uncover some very big secrets and leading him to question what is real and what is all in his mind.

| Interview With Chad Lindberg, Star Of 2010’s ‘I Spit On Your Grave’
The original I Spit On Your Grave was easily one of the most controversial films of the 1970s. The plot was simple: a young woman is raped by a group of men and she takes revenge on said rapists. It’s a story that has been told over and over, but this particular version of the story was one of the most visceral and disturbing tellings of that story ever. In 2010, the movie was remade and it hit festivals garnering a similar reaction to the first film. The unrated version of the 2010’s I Spit on Your Grave comes to DVD and Blu-ray on February 8. I sat down for a one-on-one chat with one of the stars, Chad Lindberg, to discuss his experiences making this film and watching it.

The Social Network over the past couple months has been unabashedly accepting every award and congratulatory remark that has been sent its way. It seemed the film was determined to be held in eminence amongst other films that are in awards contention this year. Since the film opened in early October it has been on an irrepressible ascent, exceeding every other film in critical acclaim (according to the online site Metacritic it scored an impressive 95). Satisfaction endured on the film’s behalf all the way up until this past Tuesday morning, where David Fincher‘s Facebook film tallied a total of 8 Oscar nominations. You may say such a particular outing is absolutely superb. But taking into consideration the mentality of students attending Harvard University (like those in The Social Network), 8 is somewhat of a disappointment when you can have many more. Such students anticipate nothing but the best. Given the multitude of accolades The Social Network received, a measly 8 nominations simply cannot be adequately embraced.

| ‘Twas Only A Matter Of Time: Paramount To Remake ‘The Monster Squad’
Deadline Hollywood is reporting something that many have expected for a long while now, but it is no less painful to read. That’s right, Paramount Pictures has decided to remake the 1987 childhood classic, The Monster Squad. If the project does indeed happen, Rob Cohen, who was a producer and executive producer on the original movie, already has high hopes to direct the remake. Considering that he’s emotionally attached to the old movie, you would think that he would be an ideal candidate to create a faithful reproduction here, but this might not be the case. Cohen does have plenty of directing experience since then, but with his credits including Dragonheart, The Skulls, The Fast and the Furious, xXx, Stealth, and The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, most Monster Squad die hards will shudder in fear at the thought.
