| Details Behind Tim Miller’s Split From ‘Deadpool 2’ Revealed
Last weekend, Deadpool fans got some pretty shocking news as it was announced that Tim Miller would no longer be directing Deadpool 2 due to creative differences with the film’s star Ryan Reynolds. Since then fans have been petitioning for Quentin Tarantino to direct the film, which will most likely blow over as soon as Fox finds another director who shares Reynold’s vision for the sequel. | ‘Deadpool’ Writers Say They Don’t Want “$150 Million” For The Sequel
Fox had already given the green light for a Deadpool sequel long before the film was even released. And now that the film has grossed over $250 million worldwide in its four-day weekend opening, the studio has much more confidence that an R-rated comic book comedy could work. When a film performs that well, it’s easy to see why the studio might give a little bit more money to the budget for Deadpool 2. With Deadpool being made on a $58 million budget – after it had been cut by $7 million – one would think that the production budget for the next film would grow. But that doesn’t appear to be the case. Deadpool writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick says that they didn’t mind being limited to such a small budget, and they don’t want “$150 million to go make the next movie.” More on the story below.

| ‘Deadpool’ Sequel Gets The Greenlight From 20th Century Fox |
 |

As if you didn’t see this one coming. Deadpool 2 is happening. Fans and critics have expressed overwhelmingly positive opinions on the film, and that kind of support only gives more of a reason for 20th Century Fox to give the greenlight for a sequel to happen. THR confirms that Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who wrote Deadpool, are writing the script for a sequel. This kind of news shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. The film has a strong show of support from fans and critics alike and is on track to gross an estimated $65 to $70 million at the box office during this four-day weekend. That is pretty huge for an R-rated comedy. While Ryan Reynolds, director Tim Miller, Reese, and Wernick, fought hard to get this film to happen, much of the reason this film is happening is because of that concept video that was leaked last year. Whether or not that came from a fan or someone within the creative team camp is unclear, but Deadpool is on its way, and we are at the point that we are talking about a sequel. Of course, if the film doesn’t perform well at the box office, the studio could pull the plug on the sequel.

| Deadpool Pops The Big Question In New Clip
Usually we don’t share every single piece of promotional material for an upcoming movie, because in most cases a lot of the short TV spots and clips that are released show the same or similar content to what we’ve seen in the past. Deadpool is not most cases. While we have seen a lot of the same footage from the actual movie shown in previous related goodies we’ve seen, the marketing campaign has also been jam-packed with plenty of creative and hilarious promos. In the latest clip Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) pops the big question to his lady friend Vanessa Carlysle (Morena Baccarin), though it probably doesn’t go quite like they had imagined it in their heads. You can watch the new clip below.

| ‘Deadpool’ Officially Gets R Rating From MPAA
If you couldn’t shake the fear that—despite everything that we’ve seen and heard regarding Deadpool being as faithfully gory and graphic as fans of the comic book have always demanded the movie be—20th Century Fox might try to pull a fast one and ultimately reveal it to actually be rated PG-13 shortly before release, worry not my friends. Though your fears were understandable (why, if we’ve all known for a long time now that star Ryan Reynolds and director Tim Miller had been given permission to make an R-rated flick and we’ve seen with our own eyeballs the ultra violent red band trailers, would promos released as early as this week still say “This Film Is Not Yet Rated”?), Deadpool has been officially awarded that badge of honor R-rating from the Motion Picture Association of America. Continue reading to find out what exactly the movie has been given that R rating for.
