Air Date: Sunday September 6th, 2015, 10pm Last week on The Strain, Eichorst (Richard Sammel) gave Kelly Goodweather (Natalie Brown) some makeup tips, designed to fool Zach. She fools a cop too, well enough to get into “vampire free” Red Hook. The tentacle that flashed out of the car behind her, helped too. She managed to get her creepy “feeler” adopted children sniffing around the neighborhood for Zach. Eph (Corey Stoll) finally made some headway with his relationship with Zach, by letting him assist in an impromptu surgery on a gun dealer (dealer of everything, but guns were Eph’s purpose). Kelly and Eph finally have that literal fight over Zach, with Eph the victor, thanks to Nora’s (Mia Maestro) help. Palmer (Jonathan Hyde), although now intimate with Coco (Lizzie Brocheré), still won’t share details. We know why, but this is what happens when you have a relationship, Palmer. Air Date: Sunday August 30th, 2015, 10pm Last week on The Strain, a new player is flexing his undead muscles in town – Quinlan (Rupert Penry-Jones). He’s only half-undead though. The other half is human, and he can walk in daylight. I’m unsure how that works, but there’s a lot I don’t know. Is he like Setrakian (David Bradley)? Palmer (Jonathan Hyde)? Is he the Master’s son by a human girl? Coco (Lizzie Brocheré) better watch out then. She and Palmer were about to… Quinlan’s backstory is revealed – he used to be a gladiator by choice. He is nicknamed “The Born,” and has vowed to destroy The Master (Jack Kesy – and who hasn’t?). Confronting The Master and Eichorst (Richard Sammel), with his partner Setrakian, he is innocuously thwarted by explosive-happy Fet (Kevin Durand). Nobody better be mad at my Vasiliy! He is already hurting because Nikki is back, and Dutch (Ruta Gedmintas) is confused. The choice is clear, Dutch! Fet is manly and sensitive and perfect!
