| Video Geek Peek: On The Set Of Ridley Scott & Russell Crowe’s ‘Robin Hood’ |
 |

Entertainment Tonight was able to visit the set of the gritty and realistic Ridley Scott version of the tale of Robin Hood, which stars Russell Crowe. With their visit we get a lot of fantastic new looks at the sets and settings, the actors in costume, and a subtle idea of the tone we can expect. Along with these cool new looks, you’ll of course get all of the really important stuff from ET, such as asking Cate Blanchett if she was able to kiss Crowe in the movie, but that’s the stuff you just block out. The video below is a promo for the spot, which sounded very much like it was supposed to air this past Monday, but is nowhere to be found. The full video will be here as soon as it is available, but for now, the promo shows a lot and is worth watching. While searching for the full ET video, it quickly became obvious that this was not the first video on the set of Robin Hood, but that there were many. It actually almost looks like the set is open to the public to walk around and check out if you go an watch other clips, which seems quite strange of course. In any case, if you’re as excited for this movie as we are, you have to check these videos out for yourself. The ET promo is here and I’ve gathered as many of the good ones as I could find, but there are more to check out at YouTube. It is beyond doubt an impressive production, and it should be a lot of fun to see the final product. Click over to see the videos!

| Danny Huston Cast As King Richard In Ridley Scott’s ‘Robin Hood’ |
 |

It’s being reported that Danny Huston has been cast as of King Richard in Ridley Scott‘s Robin Hood. Huston is best known as the man who played William Stryker in the recent X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but has also appeared in 30 Days of Night, as well as a great role in the Australian western film, The Proposition. As for upcoming appearances, he will be seen in the new epic remake of Clash of the Titans as Poseidon. As we know, this version of Robin Hood will take a more realistic path, with Robin of Loxley as a highly-trained archer and warrior who wears armor and not so much of those iconic green tights. In this new version, Robin Hood is an expert archer in the army of King Richard in the war against the French. Robin eventually moves to the town of Nottingham, whose people are suffering under the corrupt authorities who are over-taxing them. when Robin arrives, as we all know, he leads an uprising against the Sheriff of Nottingham and the corruption, while helplessly falling for the Lady Marion.

| New Set Images From Ridley Scott’s ‘Robin Hood’ The Daily Mail has obtained a few great paparazzi photographs from the set of Ridley Scott‘s epic retelling of Robin Hood. The shots show a legion of King John’s men crossing a stone bridge in what looks like some sort of attack or battle. No stars, and not the highest of quality shots, but just looking at them, you can easily tell that we’re in for a treat when this movie is finished.
As we all know, the movie tells the classic tale of Robin Hood, but this time around, it will be handled much more realistically. No word exactly on what to expect, but assume this adventure will have a real Kingdom of Heaven feel and look to it, but with the legendary Robin of Loxley as the center piece. The film is currently shooting in the U.K. and is set for a released on May 14, 2010. Click over to the other side for the set pictures!

| Geek Peek: Russell Crowe In Ridley Scott’s ‘Robin Hood’ USA Today has received the first image of Russell Crowe as the title character in Ridely Scott‘s Robin Hood. The image isn’t the most exciting of pictures, but being the first look, it’s pretty exciting to finally see what Crowe will look like in the movie. As you can see, he’s got his bow all set and ready, and he appears to be cautiously approaching some kind of prey — maybe a nice deer for the merry men. Click the image at right to see more.
Producer Brian Grazer also spoke to USA Today and had this to say about the new, more realistic Robin: He doesn’t have the old Robin Hood tights. He’s got armor. He’s very medieval. He looks, if anything, more like he did in Gladiator than anything we’re used to seeing with Robin Hood.
