Warner Bros. and Legendary could have gone the traditional route with their first live-action Pokémon movie by adapting the story of the boy on a journey to collect all Pokémon species. But they didn’t. Instead, they are adapting one of the franchise’s many spinoffs, Detective Pikachu.

In the film adaptation, we see Justice Smith play Tim Goodman, a human, whose father has suddenly gone missing. But when a wise-cracking Pikachu (Ryan Reynolds) comes in to help him, they uncover a shocking plot that could destroy this peaceful co-existence and threaten the whole Pokémon universe. A PG-13 Deadpool may sound like the Merc with a Mouth is selling out, but as Ryan Reynolds has said, Once Upon A Deadpool is all for a good cause. And yet, some may not believe it. Namely Fred Savage, who appears in the film strapped to a bed against his will by Deadpool.

So since they have a lot of time to kill, Savage wants to get to the truth about why Deadpool is doing this and why he chose to have a Princess Bride theme to tell a revised version of Deadpool 2, which was released earlier this year. Check out the video, dubbed “Savage Questions,” below.

A PG-13 Deadpool 2 may sound like a quick cash grab, but star Ryan Reynolds assures that it’s being made for very good reasons. And after all of the hype building up to its release, we now have our first look at Once Upon A Deadpool, starring Reynolds reading to a much older Fred Savage who is reprising his character from The Princess Bride.
