Spoilers below for the season finale of Ash vs Evil Dead

Oh what a strange trip it’s been! When season 2 of Ash vs Evil Dead started, Ash (Bruce Campbell) thought everything was peachy keen, holed up in his personal paradise, Jacksonville. Soon Ruby (Lucy Lawless) was calling for his and the Ghostbeaters’ help. Kelly (Dana DeLorenzo) and Pablo (Ray Santiago) went along for the ride back to Ash’s hometown of Elk’s Grove, Michigan where Ash had to deal with both the new evils of Baal (Joel Tobeck), and a hometown that viewed him as a murderous pariah nicknamed Ashy Slashy. This season has provided some unforgettable moments. Ash’s trip up a butthole of a corpse… yeah, never thought I’d type that sentence. Ash’s reunion with his surly dad (Lee Majors), Pablo’s terrifying transformation into the Necronomicon, Kelly’s brawl with the Ashy Slashy puppet in the asylum… what a tremendous season!!! And of course, the saddest moment in the show’s short history, when Pablo was sliced in half and killed as he sent Baal back to Hell. Last week Ash forced Ruby to send them back in time to right before the original films, so Ash can destroy the book and prevent any bad stuff from happening. Of course, that is easier said than done and soon it’s an Evil Dead 2 redux as Ash battles Henrietta (Ted Raimi)…

Spoilers below for Ash vs Evil Dead

Last week on Ash vs Evil Dead: It’s hard to even type this”¦ but Pablo (Ray Santiago) is dead. After Ash (Bruce Campbell) played Baal by acting all psycho-slasher last week, Pablo used the power of the Necronomicon that was inside him to banish Baal (Joel Tobeck) once and for all. But not before Baal let loose one last swipe with his raptor-like talon, slicing poor Pablo in half. I nearly cried at everyone’s reaction, especially Kelly (Dana DeLorenzo) who went through another hellish episode. The range of emotions was crazy as she killed a teenage girl demon, confessed that killing to the girl’s mother, fought off the perverted puppet of Ashy Slashy, before having to watch her bestie and fellow Ghostbeater die a hero. I don’t know what AvED can do to top that episode, and frankly, I’m scared to find out how they try.

Spoilers below for Ash vs Evil Dead

Last week and every week of this season of Ash vs Evil Dead has pushed the bounds of decency and splattered the screen with ALL the bodily functions. After having to face his long-dead sister Cheryl (Ellen Sandweiss), Ash (Bruce Campbell) was locked up in Baal’s crazy vision. Ash dealt with talking puppets, and faced his friends”¦ who weren’t his friends, but rather fellow inmates. In what were perhaps the best acting performances in the show’s history, Campbell and Dana DeLorenzo (Kelly) shined through the darkness of the world Baal (Joel Tobeck) created. In the end, Ash agreed to help Baal destroy the Necronomicon”¦ just one problem, Pablo (Ray Santiago) is becoming the Necronomicon. Is Ash seriously a defeated man, or is this his way of outsmarting ultimate evil?…

Spoilers below for Ash vs Evil Dead

Last week’s Ash vs Evil Dead saw the epic return of sister Cheryl (Ellen Sandweiss) and she was conjured through Pablo’s Necronomicon-scarred body. With Ash (Bruce Campbell) and the gang trapped in his old house, and an angry mob outside, Ash is forced to battle Cheryl again, while Ruby (Lucy Lawless) and Kelly (Dana DeLorenzo) try to help Pablo (Ray Santiago), who is being ripped apart physically and mentally. When Ash finally kills Cheryl in spectacular class Evil Dead fashion, the townsfolk realize he may not having been full of crap about the whole demon thing, but before he can celebrate, Baal (Joel Tobeck) knocks him out.

Spoilers below for Ash vs Evil Dead

Last week we met Baal (Jeff Tobeck), the father of the demon spawn that Ash (Bruce Campbell) and the gang have been battling since last season. Baal has a knack for hiding in other people’s skin… literally. After getting arrested by his old rival, Sheriff Emery (Stephen Lovatt), everyone converges at the jail. Ash’s compatriots, Ruby (Lucy Lawless), Kelly (Dana DeLorenzo), and Pablo (Ray Santiago) are joined by the Sheriff’s family, Linda (Michelle Hurd), who happens to also be Ash’s old flame, and their daughter Lacey (Pepi Sonuga). Baal messes with their minds before Ash and Ruby team up to shred a deadite in typical graphic fashion. The real story though is poor Pablo. His body is turning against him, his skin becoming the Necronomicon… although that may be what’s necessary to inevitably defeat Baal.
