| Watch Now: ‘Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World’ Teaser Trailer |
 |
By Seaberry The teaser trailer for Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World is now online.
Watch it here below! The film, directed by Edgar Wright, is based on the popular Oni Press comic book series by Bryan Lee O’Malley, and stars Michael Cera in the title role with Mary Elizabeth Winstead as his love interest Ramona. Kieran Culkin, Chris Evans, Anna Kendrick, Alison Pill, Brandon Routh, and Jason Schwartzman also star. This teaser trailer is the most awesome thing that I have seen in a long time. If this trailer is any indication, this is a very faithful adaptation, from Ramona’s hair color to actually hearing the sound effects from the comic book. From this footage it looks like the comic book come to life. Michael Cera actually looks the part, and I had my doubts about him up until the moment I started watching this trailer. Mary Elizabeth Winstead clearly has a handle on the character of Ramona Flowers, and her evil ex-boyfriends look perfect. Honestly, it looks even better than I hoped it would. I need this movie yesterday. I will be counting the days until August. Scott’s catchphrase is “I gotta believe”! Watch this trailer and you WILL believe, my friends, you will believe.

| ‘The Thing’ Remake Grabs Mary Elizabeth Winstead & Joel Edgerton
The remake of one of the most popular horror movies of all time, John Carpenter‘s The Thing, is moving forward, and it now has officially cast its two lead star in Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Joel Edgerton. Winstead will be playing a “Ph.D. candidate” who joins the Norwegian team after they discover an alien craft frozen solid in the ice. Edgerton will be playing a mercenary helicopter pilot, which would be the Kurt Russell role of the remake. The duo will eventually join up when a strange creature breaks free and starts killing people. The movie is directed by Matthijs Van Heijningen, a long-time producer making his directorial debut. The screenplay is where some strong excitement can be discovered; it was written by Battlestar Galactica and Caprica god Ronald D. Moore, as well as Eric Heisserer, who wrote the A Nightmare on Elm Street remake script.

Director Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) has released plenty of teasing behind the scenes images from his upcoming adaptation of the popular Bryan Lee O’Malley graphic novel Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, but now you can check out two brand new official images from the film. The first image is of the film’s cast standing next to each other while the other image is rather trippy and shows what appears to be someone running sideways with an awesome flaming sword. Both images are sure to extract pure elation from all of the Scott Pilgrim fans who have yet to get a peek at their favorite comic come to life. While I could summarize the basic premise here, it’s probably best said by the official Scott Pilgrim website: Scott Pilgrim is 23 years old, living in the big city with his gay roommate, just trying to get by in this crazy world. He’s in a band. He’s lazy. He likes video games. Scott Pilgrim likes the new girl in town, Ramona Flowers, but to win her heart, he has to defeat her seven evil ex-boyfriends. Seven! Evil! Ex! Boyfriends! Lucas has muscles! Todd plays bass with his psychic powers! The Twins are twins! Matthew Patel is an Indian guy! AND MORE!
