Bryan Lee O’Malley, the creator of the Scott Pilgrim comic book series, posted a track today from the upcoming Scott Pilgrim vs. The World video game.

The track is entitled “Another Winter” aka
“World 1-1 of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.” Visit O’Malley’s site radiomaru.com to hear the song, you will not be disappointed.

I have to say, it is ridiculous. It’s all done in 8-bit tones, and if I played a game as a kid on my NES with a song like this, I would have lost my mind. The track is done by chiptune punk band Anamanaguchi, who according to their website, “make loud, fast music with a hacked NES from 1985.”

Watch Now: A Look Inside ‘Scott Pilgrim vs. The World’

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is exactly one month away from release. Are you excited? I sure am.

Now, we’re being treated to a new featurette, called “A Look Inside.” In this two and a half minute clip the tale of Scott Pilgrim is explained a little more than in previous trailers. I think it’s good for those who for some reason have not read the graphic novels, and thus would have no idea what the movie is about.

This clip also has some talking points from members of the cast as well as Edgar Wright, the director. So take it all in ladies and gents, we are only one month away from the August 13 release date, so hopefully this can help to keep us occupied until then.

Check out the new featurette here below.

This approaching week is easily the most exciting of the year for any fans of video games. It’s the week that the annual E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) gaming convention is held, and it’s where all game developers and publishers like to make their biggest announcements and show off the newest trailers and gameplay footage from upcoming titles.

Just like last year’s convention (Read: E3 Convention Recap Madness: Microsoft, Sony & Nintendo’s Plans For The Future Of Gaming! ), we expect lots and lots of exciting stuff to be presented this year, especially considering the unique advantage we get of watching most of the convention thanks to G4 TV’s coverage. Now we just need the same access to Comic Con every year!

To help us get excited for what we’re going to get at E3 2010, GameTrailers.com aired a very special show that revealed some new videos from highly-anticipated upcoming game titles. This was just an appetizer to our eyes but filling it surely was, and now you can go and check the videos out if you missed them.

Click on over to check out some of the great new video game trailers and gameplay footage to help you to catch that E3 buzz!

E3 2010: ‘Scott Pilgrim vs. The World’ Video Game Footage

By Merkader

Most of us know Scott Pilgrim from Bryan Lee O’Malley’s fantastic graphic novels. Others know it from the great looking movie, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World that is about to be released starring Michael Cera.

With E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) starting next week, game publisher Ubisoft wants you to know Scott Pilgrim in another way, as a really cool video game. Game footage was released prior to E3 — which you can watch here below — and it’s just what you would expect. In the Scott Pilgrim books there are a lot of references to old school video games, which is one of the reasons I love the series. Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Video Game looks to be taken from the era that the author is referencing.

The game is a side scrolling, multiplayer, button masher. Reminiscent of old games like Final Fight and Double Dragon. I loved those games growing up and I think I’m going to like this game as well.

MTV Movie Awards Trailers For ‘Harry Potter,’ ‘Twilight,’ ‘Scott Pilgrim’ & ‘Last Airbender’

Harry Potter and the Deathly HallowsIn case you had not heard, the 2010 MTV Movie Awards aired last night. And in case you actually cared, they sucked as they have for the past five years or so… give or take and all that.

The problem with the awards is that they went from being cool to aiming at pre-teen kids as their audience far too much. Not only that, but then actually letting them vote, which leads to the most preposterous things you could possibly think of even nominating going on to take home the popcorn trophy and embarrassing true movie fans everywhere.

Even so, each year usually brings at least one or two things worth mentioning, and some exciting new trailers to check out. This year, the big world premiere trailers shown were for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, The Last Airbender, and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

If you’re excited about that last trailer, then you probably actually loved this year’s MTV Movie Awards, but because we try to love all of our readers as equally as possible, we wanted to show them all off.

Click on over to the other side to check out all the trailers for yourself.
