| In Memoriam: Musicians Who Died In 2014
As 2014 is just about at an end, we take a moment at Geeks Of Doom to remember the fallen musicians who left us this year. A large array of heavyweights, cult heroes, pioneering figures, and sentimental favorites are among those who have left us in a physical sense, but the memories that they made in the past and the ones that each of their fans have in regards to them will never leave. A list of some of our (and probably yours as well) fallen heroes is below.

| Massive Metal Monday: “Blood On Your Money” By Cobra
Cobra was a band that had a minor hit in the early days of MTV with their driving anthem “Blood On Your Money” from their one and only album, 1983’s First Strike. The band was notable because their lineup included former Krokus guitarist Mandy Meyer and velvet-voiced singer Jimi Jamison, who, only a year later, would go on to become the lead singer of the 80’s mega hit-machine Survivor. | Survivor Singer Jimi Jamison Dead At 63 |

Jimi Jamison, best known as the lead singer of the band Survivor, was found dead today of an apparent heart attack. The singer was reportedly found at his home in Memphis, TN, by his son at around 1am on Monday morning and is believed to have died on Sunday. He was 63. The Mississippi-born Jamison joined the Chicago rock band Survivor in 1984 after their 1982 smash-hit “Eye of the Tiger,” which was the theme song for the movie Rocky III, but was with the group for several of their other popular songs, like “Burning Heart,” which was used for Rocky IV, “High On You,” “I Can’t Hold Back,” “Is This Love?”, and “The Search Is Over.” He left the group in 1989, recorded several solo albums, and co-wrote/sang on the popular Baywatch theme song “I’m Always Here.” He eventually rejoined Survivor in 2000 for another six years, and then again in 2011 and has been touring with the band ever since, alongside original singer Dave Bickler.
