Are you a rabid fan of The Hunger Games, the mega hit first movie based on Suzanne Collins‘ popular book series? The town’s real name is Henry River Mill Village, and it’s located about 70 miles away from Asheville, North Carolina. 83-year-old Wade Sheperd owns the 72-acre property and states that he’s getting far too many visitors to the town with little to no profit coming his way because of it, leading him to the decision to sell the whole thing for just $1.4 million (or around 35,000 easy payments of $39.99!).

Apparently Lionsgate is putting all of their eggs into the basket, adorned with copies of The Hunger Games. With the first film in the beloved franchise still looking to hit theaters, the wheels are turning for a sequel, an adaptation of the second novel, Catching Fire. Director Gary Ross is busy still working on the first film, so with him set to direct its sequel, a writer is being eyed, and Deadline is reporting that it may in fact be Slumdog Millionaire scribe Simon Beaufoy.

| ‘The Hunger Games’ Adds Donald Sutherland; Four Movies Planned
Another big name has been added to the cast of The Hunger Games, which stars Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson. It’s been announced that legendary character actor Donald Sutherland has officially joined the cast, and will be playing the villainous President Snow. Sutherland has appeared in everything from M*A*S*H, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Animal House, and Ordinary People to more recent titles like Space Cowboys, The Italian Job, and The Mechanic.
