Fans of The Strain got a sneak peek at the season 1 trailer for The Bastard Executioner, Kurt Sutter‘s newly picked up 10-episode series, which debuts in October on FX.

This period piece tells the story of an Edwardian knight (newcomer Lee Jones) who doesn’t want that life anymore, but ends up as the title character.
