NYCC 2018: Robert Kirkman’s Skybound To Finish Telltale’s ‘The Walking Dead: The Final Season’
|
 |

Last month came the announcement that Telltale Games was closing its doors, which meant the end for game series like The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us, which fans were finally getting a second season of after years of waiting patiently.
But the biggest immediate question everyone had was what did this mean for The Walking Dead: The Final Season. The closing chapter of Telltale’s most successful series had only just begun when the news hit, and it was unclear if two of the four episodes would ever actually see the light of day. Telltale made it clear that they were in talks with companies to help complete the season, and now we know that they’ve found the perfect partner. It was announced during the Walking Dead TV series’ New York Comic-Con 2018 panel that Skybound Entertainment, the company co-founded by Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman, has reached a deal to ensure that the final season does indeed get the closure it deserves.

Final Season Of ‘The Walking Dead’ Could Still Be Completed As Telltale Games Closes Its Doors

For anyone who missed the news it was announced a few days back that the majority of Telltale Games was closing down, with all but 25 employees let go.
This of course was a painful blow to fans of the developer, who was known for creating entertaining episodic point-and-click graphic adventures games. But the biggest immediate question was what does this mean for The Walking Dead, Telltale’s biggest game series which just kicked off its final season. With no one working there anymore, who was going to finish the three of four total episodes that hadn’t been released yet? The second episode was already completed and was released today, thankfully. And now comes word that discussions are happening with potential partners to get the final two episodes released, though nothing is official yet.

‘The Walking Dead’ Season 4 Announced By Telltale Games

Telltale Games made a few big announcements this week, the biggest (for me anyway) being the long-awaited new season of The Wolf Among Us. But they had something for fans of The Walking Dead, as well.
The news regarding their fan-favorite take on Robert Kirkman’s hit comic book series comes in both good and bad flavors, unfortunately. The good news is that we won’t have to wait a while to find out if a new season of the point-and-click series is on the way, as we did for the recently concluded third season, The Walking Dead: A New Frontier. Telltale has confirmed that a season four is officially on the way for 2018. The bad news however, is that this new season will also be the final season.
Continue below to check out the video announcing the final season.

Telltale Games Announces ‘The Wolf Among Us’ Season 2

Telltale Games has made many of their fans happy today, finally announcing The Wolf Among Us season two.
The game is based on Bill Willingham’s incredible comic series Fables. And while the first season was not the most successful financial endeavor for Telltale, it was without doubt one of their very best—right up there with the acclaimed first season of The Walking Dead, which came out about a year before. But when it comes down to it, sales matter. So while two more seasons and some DLC for The Walking Dead have since been released, it looked like we may never get a second season of The Wolf Among Us.
The announcement was made with a video, which begins with voice actors and Telltale employees reading mean tweets from impatient fans demanding a new season. You can check it out below.
