This is thanks to reasons like the game looking and playing more like a brand new Elder Scrolls game you get to play with friends than a traditional MMO, and its recently announced stellar voice cast. Enthusiasm for the game has been tested however, as all of the non-MMO-playing fans of the games were less than thrilled to find out a monthly subscription fee would be required to play. | Watch Now: 24-Minute ‘The Elder Scrolls Online’ Live Stage Demo
We’ve seen some great gameplay action for The Elder Scrolls Online, the upcoming MMO set in Bethesda’s fantastic Elder Scrolls world. The title looks to change the MMO game, so to speak, offering something as close to an actual game in the series—such as Morrowind or Oblivion or Skyrim—as possible, while also allowing you to play with friends and explore these worlds you’ve only been able to explore alone in the past, and only one at a time. At the recent QuakeCon, Bethesda was on hand to do something we have not seen yet, and that’s a live stage demonstration of ESO in action. This demo shows off what it will be like to start the game and choose your character, what it will be like to play by yourself, and then what it will be like to join up with some friends to go on an adventure together. You can watch the full stage demo for The Elder Scrolls Online below!
