| ‘Fast and Furious 8’ Scheduled For April 2017 Release
James Wan’s Furious 7 is one of the fastest films to gross a billion dollars at the box office. Of course with each new Fast and Furious raising the box office bar, sequels are quickly green lit. The tragic loss of Paul Walker though would make things a bit difficult for the franchise to continue, but fans have spoken out, and they want more. Universal will be honoring that request. Vin Diesel was at CinemaCon today to officially announce that Fast and Furious 8 will be released April 14, 2017. Hit the jump for more.

| Universal Working On A Deal For Justin Lin To Direct Final ‘Fast And Furious’ Films
It all started in 2001 when Universal released a humble street racing movie called The Fast and the Furious. Often imitated, never duplicated, the Fast and Furious franchise has spanned six films, and will be releasing their seventh in 2016. But with the passing of Paul Walker, and some of the cast committed to other projects, the franchise will have to come to an end sooner or later. So Universal is already planning to wave the checkered flag. A new report says that the studio is eying Justin Lin to return to direct the final installments of the blockbuster franchise.

| ‘Furious 7’ Trailer: Vin Diesel and His Family Find Vengeance |

Universal Pictures has released the first trailer for Furious 7, the seventh entry in the highly successful Fast and Furious franchise. The trailer starts off in a really big way, and the action sequences seen are only a glimpse into what will probably be one of the most exciting films of 2015. Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Michelle Rodriguez, and Lucas Black all return to reprise their respective roles. They will be joined by newcomers like Jason Statham, Kurt Russell, Nathalie Emmanuel, Djimon Hounsou, Tony Jaa, and John Brotherton. The trailer is also bit of a sad reminder that this is the last time we will ever see the late Paul Walker in a movie. But based on the massive marketing campaign that was launched prior to the trailer’s release, it looks like Furious 7 will honor his legacy in the Fast and Furious franchise. | ‘Fast and Furious’ Actor Paul Walker Dead In Car Crash [Confirmed]
Paul Walker, best known for his starring role in The Fast and the Furious films, died on Saturday afternoon in a single-car accident and explosion in Southern California, according to TMZ. He was 40 years old. TMZ reports that the actor was in a Porsche that was driving in Santa Clarita, CA, when the driver lost control of the vehicle, which hit either a post or a tree and then burst into flames. They also say that their sources, some of whom confirmed the situation from the scene of the accident, said that Walker and another person in the car were killed.
