Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw
Director: David Leitch
Writer: Chris Morgan, Drew Pearce
Cast: Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Idris Elba, Vanessa Kirby, Helen Mirren
Distributor: Universal Pictures
Rated PG-13| Minutes: 136
Release Date: Aug 2, 2019 There’s no denying that the Fast & Furious franchise has been through some crazy things. What first started out as a humble cinematic look at illegal underground street racing has since supped up into a global phenomenon where Dom and his family – a strong theme that courses throughout the franchise – do things like drive cars out of planes in mid-flight or sling torpedos across a large stretch of ice. Oh, there’s also the occasional cars stunts, bone crunching fights, and cheesy one-liners. But now it’s time for the franchise to venture outside of its wheelhouse with Hobbs & Shaw, the first Fast & Furious spinoff. In it, Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) and Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham), two people who don’t even belong in the same room together much less be paired up on a mission, work together to save the world from a cyber terrorist organization bent on evolving humanity by augmenting them with their technology and purging out the weak. Are these two incompatible people up to the challenge? Or will they let their egos get in the way? Of course they are, and it’s how they reach that point that can be simultaneously fun and infuriating. My full review here below.

| ‘Hobbs & Shaw’ Trailer: ‘Fast and Furious’ Extends Its Family With Action and Insane Stunts
The characters of the Fast and the Furious film franchise has prided themselves as being a part of a family. It doesn’t matter if the skin color is different. But when it comes to family by blood that is a bit of a different story. We will get to see a little bit of that play out in Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, the first spinoff of the franchise. In it, Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) is forced to team up with Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) in order to stop Brixton (Idris Elba), an enhanced human, from reclaiming a virus that Shaw’s younger sister (Vanessa Kirby) stole from him. Check out the trailer below.

| ‘Fast and Furious’ Star Tyrese Gibson Threatens To Leave Franchise If Dwayne Johnson Is In ‘Fast 9’
It seems like conflicts among the Fast and the Furious cast are a recurring nightmare for the franchise. At first, it was between Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson. While neither of them called each other out publicly, they made vague social media posts indicating who was the target of their discontent. Even when the issue was resolved, most thought it was some sort of elaborate marketing scheme to get people to buy more movie tickets for Fate of the Furious. But now that it is all behind them, and with an obvious new chapter in the franchise on the way, plus a spinoff, most would think that these conflicts would have come to an end. However, it appears that it is far from over. Now a new one from Tyrese Gibson, who plays Roman Pearce in the series, is threatening to leave the franchise entirely if Dwayne Johnson continues to be involved with it. More on the story below.

| ‘Fast and Furious 9’ May Actually Go To Outer Space
The Fast and Furious franchise isn’t what it used to be. While that may not be so bad, it is always looking for new and inventive ways to outdo themselves. Except, they may be running out of ideas here on earth. There has been speculation that Dom and his crew could head to space. How they achieve that is yet to be seen. But they may need to find a new director considering F. Gary Gray may not return to helm a Fast and Furious film for the second time. Check out what he has to say and the possibility of heading out into space, below.

| ‘The Fate Of The Furious’ Trailer: It’s Dwayne Johnson vs A Torpedo
It’s hard to believe that we’ve only gotten two trailers for The Fate of the Furious so far. Universal has just released the second one today (watch the first here), and if you thought you’ve seen everything in this franchise, well, the new trailer shatters that notion with a torpedo and a few missiles. Yes, now the family will have to contend with military weaponry. Tanks were one thing, but a submarine is something that they will have to survive if they want to rescue Dom (Vin Diesel). Check out the newest trailer below.
