‘Fast and Furious’ Star Tyrese Gibson Threatens To Leave Franchise If Dwayne Johnson Is In ‘Fast 9’

It seems like conflicts among the Fast and the Furious cast are a recurring nightmare for the franchise. At first, it was between Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson. While neither of them called each other out publicly, they made vague social media posts indicating who was the target of their discontent. Even when the issue was resolved, most thought it was some sort of elaborate marketing scheme to get people to buy more movie tickets for Fate of the Furious.
But now that it is all behind them, and with an obvious new chapter in the franchise on the way, plus a spinoff, most would think that these conflicts would have come to an end. However, it appears that it is far from over. Now a new one from Tyrese Gibson, who plays Roman Pearce in the series, is threatening to leave the franchise entirely if Dwayne Johnson continues to be involved with it. More on the story below.

‘The Fate Of The Furious’ Trailer: It’s Dwayne Johnson vs A Torpedo

It’s hard to believe that we’ve only gotten two trailers for The Fate of the Furious so far. Universal has just released the second one today (watch the first here), and if you thought you’ve seen everything in this franchise, well, the new trailer shatters that notion with a torpedo and a few missiles.
Yes, now the family will have to contend with military weaponry. Tanks were one thing, but a submarine is something that they will have to survive if they want to rescue Dom (Vin Diesel). Check out the newest trailer below.

Helen Mirren Is Actually Starring In ‘Fast and Furious 8’

In April of last year Helen Mirren made the unexpected statement that she wanted to star in the eighth Fast and Furious movie, and even do her own driving.
At the time Furious 7 hadn’t even been released yet and it wasn’t clear if there would even be a Fast and Furious 8, but Dame Helen Mirren hath spoken and the universe listens. Not only was Fast 8 (or whatever the hell they’re calling the next one—what sane human being can keep track at this point) confirmed to be on the way, but now Mirren has actually joined the cast.

Charlize Theron Being Courted For Villain Role In ‘Fast 8’

Vin Diesel has really been working the Fast and Furious promotion machine as of late. The actor recently announced the release dates of Fast 8, Fast and Furious 9, and 10. But these films are only as good as their villain – and a few cheesy one-liners.

‘Fast and Furious’ To Get Its Own Marvel-Style Shared Universe

When it comes to big blockbuster franchises, if you are not a part of a shared universe, then you aren’t doing it right. Marvel Studios is doing it with the MCU, and WB is doing it for their DC Comics in the DCCU. Some studios have attempted and failed to make their own, while others are playing catch up. But for the Fast and Furious franchise, now seems like the perfect time to jump on the shared universe bandwagon, and cash-in on the biggest Hollywood trend.
Franchise star Vin Diesel shared the latest development in a recent interview while talking about Furious 8 and the future of the franchise. More on the story below.

‘Fast and Furious 8’ Hits Production Problems Before Filming

Universal’s Fast and Furious film franchise has evolved throughout the years, starting out as a film centering on the culture of underground street racing to heists to revenge actioner. It has also become a part of Universal Studio’s iconic Studio Tour. But in an effort to get Fast and Furious 8 into production, Universal Pictures has experienced a snag. With the early passing of its franchise star Paul Walker and no director confirmed, the film is looking less and less likely to meet the April 2017 release that Vin Diesel announced earlier this year. But finding a director isn’t the only problem, sources close to the production say that behind-the-scenes from Furious 7 seems to be another contributing factor.
