| Netflix’s ‘The Witcher’ Series Casts Its Ciri and Yennefer
Now that Henry Cavill has been set to play Geralt of Rivia in Netflix’s The Witcher series, casting on some of the supporting roles has begun. The latest castings include two big supporting characters, Ciri and Yennefer. Ciri is set to be played by Freya Allan, while Yennefer will be played by Anya Chalotra. Also joining the cast is Jodhi May, Björn Hlynur Haraldsson, Adam Levy, MyAnna Buring, Mimi Ndiweni, Therica Wilson-Read, and Millie Brady. | Netflix Developing Series Based On ‘The Witcher’
Netflix has announced that they are developing The Witcher, a new series based on Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski‘s fantasy books and stories. The stories were previously turned into the hit video game series of the same name by developer CD Projekt RED, consisting of 2007’s The Witcher, 2011’s The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings, and 2015’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

| ‘The Witcher’ Movie Announced For 2017
The stories of Geralt of Rivia, the White Wolf, from The Witcher are perhaps best known from developer CD Projekt RED’s video game series, which includes 2007’s The Witcher, 2011’s The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings, and 2015’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. But the games are actually based on Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski‘s short stories and novels, which are now set to be adapted into a new feature-length movie currently expected to be released in 2017. It’s been announced that Platige Films has joined forces with the Sean Daniel Company for the movie, which is being planned as the first in a series of movies. You can read more about the news below.

| 37-Minute ‘The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’ Gameplay Demo Released
A whopping 37-minute gameplay demo for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been released online by developer CD Projekt RED. The demo includes some of the stuff we saw come out of E3 2014, but this is a full and official release complete with developer commentary to inform you more about the game, its size, and the many things you can do while playing.
