Titan Books is no stranger to the world of publishing, releasing many titles since they opened in 1981. Titan has released many collections of U.S. comic books for the British market, but they announced this week that they are expanding their comics publishing with the launch of Titan Comics. Titan Comics will continue the company’s tradition of collecting older material in graphic novel form, but will also be adding all-new series to their publishing schedule. The new imprint will launch in July 2013 with two creator-owned series and four new collections. The series will be Chronos Commandos: Dawn Patrol, written and drawn by Stuart Jennett and Thrud the Barbarian, by writer/artist Carl Critchlow. The collections will be Numbercruncher from Si Spurrier (writer of the new X-Men: Legacy series), Ring of Roses by writer Das Petrou and art by John Watkiss, and a couple of never before published volumes of The First Kingdom by John Katz.

Cover Price: $34.95 I’ll be honest, before being offered to review this book I had not really heard of Luke Chueh. That is, until I started doing a little research…at which point I realized I had seen his work, but not his name. The Art Of Luke Chueh: Bearing The Unbearable is the first authorized compendium of his work. It draws together pieces from 2003 to 2009, collecting over 200 paintings for your viewing pleasure. There are many famous ones in here, like Hare-Cut from 2004, but I want to share with you a few that stood out to me, speaking to me on a more personal level. Keep in mind this is my perception of the artwork, which may not be what the artist intended.
