George C. Scott

This has been floating around the Net for a while now, but not long after the first trailer for the latest Adam Sandler “comedy” Jack & Jill was released some one created a video that cleverly intercut clips from the trailer with a scene from the 1979 Paul Schrader film Hardcore. You can watch it here below.

Trailer: Music Documentary ‘The Swell Season’ Tells Real-Life Story Of ‘Once’ Duo

The Swell Season

If you’ve never seen the indie hit Once, it’s a movie you simply have to see before you die. It’s a beautiful film with one of the greatest soundtracks ever made that tells the story of two musicians falling in love despite the complications in each of their own lives making things very difficult. And the reason the soundtrack is so good is because the two stars of Once, Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova, aren’t actors at all but actually very talented musicians, who were each awarded an Academy Award for their music in the film.

What those of you who have seen Once might not know, however, is that a real–life romance sparked and faded between the two and a new musical venture called The Swell Season was born.

Now it’s time for that story to be told in the new musical documentary also titled The Swell Season, which is making the festival rounds. You can see the trailer below now!

Starz Releases Much Better Teaser Trailer For Season 2 Of ‘Spartacus’

Recently Starz released the first trailer for season two of their hit show, Spartacus, this time around being called Spartacus: Vengeance. Unfortunately for us, it was of the ultra–teaser variety, and very little was actually shown.

It was, however, promised that a longer trailer would arrive soon, and Starz has made good on that promise. The trailer is still of the teaser variety””clocking in at only a minute and thirty–nine seconds””but this time around questions are answered. Almost everything we’ve been wondering about who would return, what the second season will be about, and who exactly is out for vengeance is touched on, and couple of very interesting people are involved.

You can see the teaser trailer for Spartacus: Vengeance by clicking on over to the other side now! Be warned: the trailer is along the same lines as a red band trailer, contains some pretty graphic imagery, and should be considered NSFW.

The past couple of weeks have been a bit of a blur, to be perfectly honest, and during that time a brand new extended trailer for season 2 of The Walking Dead found its way to the ‘net. If you missed it, however, now’s your chance to check it out…and you’ll be happy you did.

The trailer was released for the recent San Diego Comic–Con, and it runs about four and a half insane minutes. If you weren’t excited about the second season yet or have been trying to get psyched up, this little ditty should do the trick.

Get Derezzed With A Taste Of Daft Punk’s ‘Tron: Legacy’ Score

When all is said and done Tron: Legacy is going to be the movie of the year for me, regardless of whether or not it lives up to its boundless potential or the exciting previews that have been trickling out of the Mouse House’s mighty marketing division.

The original 1982 Tron is one of my personal favorite films of all time; I love just about everything about it, from the performances to the snappy writing to the musical score by Wendy Carlos (with awesome contributions from Journey) to the spectacular visual effects which gave the film a look that has and always be ahead of its time.

There’s a timeless, ethereal beauty to the computerized world of Tron that could never be dated in my mind and only grows as a cinematic work of art with each passing year as most video game-based and influenced films seem to embrace a grittier look deprived of any sense of wonder or imagination. It’s an absolutely perfect film to me so the idea of a sequel emerging nearly three decades after the release of the original both excites me and fills me with dread.

Be sure to click over to get a little taste of Daft Punk’s Tron: Legacy score!
