An epilogue of sorts showed Ragnar gone for many, many years and his little boys grown up, hating him except for Ivar (Alex Høgh Andersen). ‘Vikings’ Ivar the Boneless – A Closer Look
We do not know young Ivar the Boneless (Alex Høgh Andersen) very well yet. It was not until the jump in time during episode 4.10 “The Last Ship, that we meet him as an adult, with his wit and fierce loyalty to the father his brothers are ready to swear off or even kill (except maybe Bjorn – Alexander Ludwig). The child we saw in earlier seasons was the cause of actions and reactions – Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) almost killed him as a baby, Harbard (Kevin Durand) took away his pain, Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland) gave him to Floki (Gustaf Skarsgard) to mentor, he killed a boy during play.
