The sale at Teefury began at midnight EST (Wednesday, December 8, 2010) and will continue for 24 hours from then, and once it’s over, it’s gone forever. The t-shirt design takes the “The Dude” himself Jeff Lebowski (beer in hand), played by Jeff Bridges in the film, and Walter Sobchak (John Goodman’s character, here with bowling ball in hand) and turns their regular clothes into the Tron video game outfit. | Geek Gear: Tron Meets Space Invaders In ‘Recognizer Invasion’ Shirt |
The t-shirt deal of the day over at RIPT Apparel today mashes up the TRON movies with the classic arcade game Space Invaders in “Recognizer Invasion.”
The tee, by artist HHNCARRIE, is on sale at RIPT only for today, Saturday, December 4, 2010 until tomorrow at 1AM EST. The t-shirt is available in both men’s and women’s sizes for $10. Kids sizes are $15; Onesies are $18. You can also get the design on a Hoodie for $38 (in Men/Unisex sizes). The Recognizers form the letter T, while the blockades you have to shoot through here are in the form of the Tron Identity Disks. At the top, in the center for the high score is 198200, representing the year the original movie came out; the score for Player 1 is 2010, which is when Tron Legacy will be released.

The latest trailer for Disney‘s upcoming 3D release, Tron Legacy, the sequel to Tron , has finally been released on the internet, and this time, the clues of the teaser begin to move towards giving viewers and fans more of an idea of the story that will unfold in the film.
Watch the full trailer here below. Fan feedback across the web, at a glance, seems to be highly positive– as it should be: the footage contained in this trailer is nothing short of breathtaking and, personally speaking, makes me very excited about seeing this movie. Like most of you, I’ve been waiting for this sequel for many years, and so far all the teasers seem to indicate this movie might just match (or hopefully exceed) expectations.
