Back in June, it was reported that Helena Bonham Carter was in talks to join Terminator Salvation, but there’s been no word since about what role the Sweeney Todd actress would play in the upcoming prequel.
Carter had previously said that her role would be “small, but pivotal.”
While her character has still yet to be revealed, Carter confirmed to SCI FI that she will be a villain in the upcoming fourth Terminator film.
I kind of play a baddie, definitely a baddie … I don’t know how much I’m allowed to say, but I’m a very bad person.”
Carter, who came on to the film as a last-minute replacement for Tilda Swinton, will work a total of 10 days on the McG-direct film.
Production on the film, currently underway in New Mexico, is over halfway completed and McG revealed last month at the San Diego Comic-Con that he’s been given the greenlight by the studio to make T4 an R-Rated film if he so chooses.
Terminator Salvation, which also stars Christian Bale, Sam Worthington, Anton Yelchin, Bryce Dallas Howard, Moon Bloodgood, and Common, is scheduled to hit theaters May 22, 2009.
Works for me. This movie is shaping up pretty well.

If they remade Mad Max…oh boy…would they hear from me! It is a spiritual violation to remake Mad Max. I swear to Jesus, it says that in the book of Revelations.
