| Tim Blake Nelson Ready To Go For ‘Hulk 2’ – Edward Norton Still Unknown Tim Blake Nelson spoke to MTV recently about sequels to this summer’s The Incredible Hulk, his part as the villain The Leader, and what the Hulk himself Edward Norton‘s future may hold.
Nelson is currently directing a movie called Leaves of Grass, which stars Norton, so he says that they’ve discussed it a little, but he’s kind of just a spectator who’s excited to come back and hoping that Edward Norton will be joining him for the party. He explains: Well, I’m signed on to do “˜Hulk 2′ and “˜3′ whether Edward’s there or not, so it’s not even up to me. When I agreed to do “˜Hulk,’ I signed off for two sequels, so it’s a moot question. I certainly hope Edward is on the sequel “” but that’s up to Marvel and Edward.

| Charity Auction: Sandman/Hellboy Drawing Several Neil Gaiman-related items are currently up for bids on eBay, with the proceeds going to the CBLDF charity.
The image at right is of two unrelated comic book characters together — Hellboy, drawn by Mike Mignola, and Sandman, drawn by Neil Gaiman. The drawing will be up on eBay for the next 20 hours or so. Another charity item on eBay ending in less than a day is a sketch by Fables artist Mark Buckingham of Gaiman playing drums (and the author points out that while he does play instruments, drums is not one of them).

| How Will Joe Johnston’s ‘Captain America’ Compare To His ‘Rocketeer’? CAP WITH A JETPACK
Will the Joe Johnston-helmed Captain America movie get Disney-ized like his Rocketeer did?
With the announcement of director Joe Johnston taking the helm of the Captain America movie, The First Avenger: Captain America, we can’t help but think of his other 1940’s era hero flick, The Rocketeer aka the best Saturday afternoon basic cable movie EVER. Churned out of the House of Mouse, The Rocketeer was pretty awesome, but clearly had its balls squeezed a bit to adhere to the Disney code of family friendliness. Will the Cap movie, which is being done by Marvel Studios, have the same kind of limitations? Let’s draw a few comparisons between The Rocketeer and the eventual Cap movie before we jetpack to conclusions.

| Rejoice! All Is Well With ‘Where The Wild Things Are’! |
The fine folks over at AICN sat down and had a chat with Spike Jonze and dug up some information I’ve been dying to hear. At the moment, it sounds like everything is as it should be in regards to the seemingly cursed adaptation of Where the Wild Things Are.
The movie, which is based on a kid’s book, was being remade in a much more dark, more real, more adult fashion. This was likely because the biggest fans of the book are those who have grown up with it and are now all in their 20s, 30s, and 40s. Because of this, the studios had a mini freak out and rumors swarmed about the $75 million project being scrapped and babied-up to appeal to a younger audience. But now it looks like they’ve regained their composure and are accepting what this movie is — and from all accounts thus far, this movie could be amazing. Of course, by all of this, it does not mean that they’re going to add all sorts of crap and make the movie rated R for no reason. That’s not the case. The thing is, it was just much more dark than it was expected to be — like Harry Potter films have been recently, but maybe not even that dark. As mentioned in the interview, they have and are showing the movie to kids to gauge their reactions, so it will probably still be PG rated, maybe PG-13, who knows.
