By Vactor

Monday, January 25th, 2010 at 10:30 pm |
With the imminent release of Mass Effect 2 tomorrow, buzz around the series has reached a fever pitch (how sweet was that ad during the NFC Championship last night?!) and earlier this month Dark Horse capitalized on the buzz by releasing the first issue of Mass Effect: Redemption a four-issue comic series, written by BioWare lead writer Mac Walters, scripted by John Jackson Miller (Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, The Invincible Iron Man), and drawn by Omar Francia (Star Wars Legacy).
Now, the comic series will soon be making the leap from the beautiful comic pages of yesterday to the iPhone’s digital screens of tomorrow. The first issue of Mass Effect: Redemption will debut on iTunes February 3, just in time for the release of second issue of the series in print form. The comic tells the exciting back-story that led up to the events of Mass Effect 2, while exploring the exotic and dangerous future Milky Way of Mass Effect. It will also reveal previously unseen locations, aliens, and enemies of the rich science fiction landscape found in the game.

| A Quick Look At Some ‘Cars 2’ Concept Art
Of Pixar’s constant flow of brilliant movies, Cars is probably the least liked of the bunch. So when it was announced that they were actually making a Cars 2, this came as a bit of a surprise to many, especially considering that Pixar usually has nothing to do with sequels aside from the Toy Story franchise. Of their library, the top choice for a sequel would probably have been The Incredibles, which is naturally built for multiple installments. But alas, it is Cars 2 that is on the way, and the very first piece of concept art has now been released onto the internet, and you can head to the bottom of this very post to check it out now!

Greetings my fair vamps, vamp lovers, and fang bangers, tis I, CrueChik, back with some Twilight Saga news.
After a little post-New Moon hibernation (really though, there was no actual hibernation, I’m never very far from all things Twilight, seeing as I watch the first film once a week”¦yeah, I admit it, don’t judge me), I have returned with a tasty morsel of information about the next installment in the saga, Eclipse, scheduled for release June 30, 2010. Award-winning composer Howard Shore will be writing the score for the much anticipated continuation of vampire bait Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and his immortal hotness Edward Cullen’s (Rob Pattinson) epic love story. Shore is best known for his work on the Lord of the Rings trilogy, for which he won three Academy Awards.

| Video: The ‘Black Panther’ Animated Series Intro |

Marvel Animation looks like they have a hit on their hands with BET’s Black Panther. Well, at least a hit intro, that is.
There are some really big names attached to this project and I’m salivating at the chance to see it here in the United States. The series is written and co-produced by Reginald Hudlin. Djimon Hounsou voices Black Panther/T’Challa, king of the African nation of Wakanda. Stan Lee provides the voice of General Wallace, JB Blanc voices The Black Knight and Batroc, Kerry Washington voices Princess Shuri, and Jill Scott provides the voice of Storm. If you’re a huge fan of artist John Romita Jr, you will no doubt love the art used in this intro, based off the “Who Is the Black Panther?” arc by Hudlin and Romita JR. Unfortunately, unless you’re a crocodile or Kangaroo Jack, you can only watch the intro to the series, which is now online — watch it here below. The series premiered this month on ABC3, an Australian children’s channel and currently has no air date or network set for the U.S.
